Fertility and Vomit: Hi there are a number of reasons why one may be vomiting. But, the answer to your question needs more information. Was your last period normal? When you had a sexual encounter where was it in relationship to your menstrual cycle? In the next week you may be wise to get a home pregnancy test just to make sure you are not pregnant.

Common: Nausea and vomiting is quite common early on during pregnancy. It is often worse in the morning. I would recommend small non-oily meals throughout the day. Banana, rice, toast are great options. Gatorade or similar products with electrolytes can also help replenish fluids/salts. Use Vitamin B6 twice daily and that can help as well. If symptoms persist, see Ob, who can prescribe more meds Dr M

Is it really possible that a guy feels nauseaus and feelings of vomiting if his wife is pregnant?

Absolutely: Couvade syndrome is a term used to describe a situation in which an otherwise healthy man — whose partner is expecting a baby — experiences pregnancy-related symptoms. While some research suggests that couvade syndrome (sympathetic pregnancy) is common, it isn't a recognized mental illness or disease. Further studies are needed to determine whether couvade syndrome is physical or psychological.
