My child is 4and half month old his blood suger level is 141 after bottle feeding sweet milk. What it may be su?

Likely sampling issu: A random blood glucose will always be affected by sampling technique, which can be hard in infants. Any foreign material on the skin surface may skew the results & falsely elevate them. If taken soon after a feed i could see it going up to the 130's. If concerned see your dr & have a venous sample tested. ...Read more

When can we introduce our 3 month old baby to the bottle feeding? We fear that bottle feeding might bring the chances for infection. Plz suggest

Now: You can introduce a bottle as soon as breast feeding is well established- i usually recommend at about one month of age. Its helpful if someone other than mom feeds the baby the bottle and if mom leaves the house so the baby won't cry to nurse instead! to decrease chance of infection make sure you clean and sterilize (in boiling water) the bottle equipment. Clean after each use. ...Read more

Infant feeding: Lentil is an excellent source of fiber and nutritious as well. It is harder to digest especially by a 4 mo. Current thinking is to start solid foods that are nutritious and easy to digest. Cereal is not necessarily the first food to give now. It has been found that meat and /or vegetables are good to start with especially when baby is breastfed. The lentil caused the way her stools came out. ...Read more

The more you nurse : Your son. The more breast milk you produce. You can also use an electric pump at intervals to increase your milk supply. Alternating breast & bottle feeds can cause nipple confusion. Breastfed babies can't overfeed & have a lower incidence of obesity. However, you can offer 4 oz./bottle, as long he is not spitting up; 5 oz. @ 2 mos., 6 oz. @ 3 mos., etc. Till you get to 8 oz. Later on. ...Read more
