5 Month Old Fetus Ultrasound
My 3m 3 wk old weighs 6.4 kgs, 64 CM long ( baby girl) my baby has bigger feet and looks the same size as an 8month old that visited. Is this normal?
An ultraound, also known as a sonogram, is a painless and relatively inexpensive imaging test that utilizes sound waves instead of ionizing radiation. There are no side effects. Ultrasound can give us two-dimensional, and in some applications three-dimensional, images of structures and organs in virtually any part of the body. In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more
My friend has a normal 5 yr old baby girl....But other 2 pregnancies she had baby boys with brain tumors. The babies died right after. Whts reason?
Unusual: Brain tumors in general are relatively rare in the general population. For there to be two in one family is unusual. She should have some work-up by her neurologist and a geneticist to see if there is some genetic syndrome that puts her and her family at increased risk for brain tumors. ...Read more

No...: Infertility is defined by someone who is unable to conceive. You have been pregnant so infertility does not sound like it is a problem that you have. Growth curve: At 5 months your baby being 8 kg is around the 95% for weight. That is more than "average", but must be taken in context. What did your baby weigh when she was born? What was her length then and now? By plotting those measurements in a growth chart your pediatrician can tell you whether your daughter is growing appropriately or not. ...Read more
Can i give egg to my six month old son? He was born on oct11 as a premie with 35.3 weeks gestational age.
No: Eggs are a common allergy and so should be avoided until after one year old. The yolk is usually less allergenic then the white but i would wait on both until 12 months. ...Read more
I never recommend it: Any pungent odor or fume, whether rubbed on or placed in a vaporizer can cause increasing congestion in an infant. I equate vicks to cigarette smoke in young infants. It has little if any value at any age and never before age 3-6yrs. This is a throwback to the sweat lodges of the indians and should be abandoned along with leaches. ...Read more

I'm 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Transvaginal ultrasound says no yolk sac and no fetal heartbeat. Is the baby still alive?
Unlikely: At 7 weeks gestation (7 weeks after the last menstrual period), a gestational sac, a yolk sac, an embryo and fetal heartbeat should be seen. It is unlikely that the baby is alive. However, a short-term follow up ultrasound can provide a definitive answer. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hello I'm 5 week 5 day pregnant I had a ultrasound done it only show gestational sac no yolk sac is normal ?
Repeat sono in 1week: Under 6 weeks, this is considered normal, however to determine whether the pregnancy is truly viable ,a heart rate needs to be visualized by transvaginal sonogram. In addition, blood work (beta HcG) should be appropriately rising. A repeat sonogram within a week should confirm everything is ok. Congrats ahead of time. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Should I be concern my 4 month old baby boy only grow 3 inches since birth. Born he was 20 3/4 inches long?
My baby is 5 months old. Upto 3 months she gained 1kg per month. Now she's gaining 3 or 4 hundred gram per month.is it a prblm ( bf n solids)?
Growth chart...: Is your daughter seeing her pediatrician for check ups? The pediatrician will plot her weight and make sure it looks good - ask to see the growth chart for reassurance. 1 kg/mo is a bit more than "expected" weight gain in the beginning (all that healthy breast milk!) and the velocity of weight gain does slow as babies get older - otherwise she would weigh 12 kg more than bw at 1 y/o :) ...Read more
