Is a five hour energy every day bad for you in the long run?

Is a five hour energy every day bad for you in the long run?

I would say so: For the most part; any of these "attention getting" products are not very good {short or long term} for you as they usually contain an extreme amount of sugar. If you find yourself having 'energy' problems make sure you start out the day with a healthy breakfast, drink plenty of water, and take a vitamin b complex supplement of your diet is poor. ...Read more

Best stimulant featu: In single dose studies, Vyvanse did not cause any long-term side effects even at 250mg. Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a pro-drug. The med you take is inactive and should have little or no effect on you until it gets into your blood. Enzymes from red blood cells activate the med. Prodrug levels peak around 90min and active levels peak by 6hrs. It's all gone from your body by 48hrs. ...Read more

Sleep for life: Studies have shown that a healthy adult should get 7-9 hours sleep a night. Chronic sleep deprivation is associated with significant health issues such as early death, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. If the sleep deprivation is short-term due to work then this effect won't be as significant, but remember that concentration & productivity is improved on a full night's sleep! ...Read more

For the last 5 years I haven't had a healthy sleep schedule. I did however get enough sleep. Could a variation of 3-4 hours cause long term effects?

Enough sleep: There is no specific number of hours that marks enough or not enough sleep. every individual has his own number of hours to mark enough sleep, and if he gets these hours he will feel fresh and ready to go. Some people may get only 4-5 hours and this is enough others need at least 8 hours (I am from this category) ...Read more

What are the long-term effects of prolonged sleep deprivation? I sleep 3-4 hours a night and am constantly tired, but am I actually harming myself?

What are the long term effects of sleep deprivation? Are there any long term side effects of substituing vivarin for sleep? Over the course of the past few months, I've averaged about 3-5 hours of sleep a day while taking vivarin. I don't feel very differ

This: This is really not a good idea. People really need at least 7 hours of sleep. The body just cannot work with such high levels of stress. If that really has been your schedule, you are severely sleep deprived right now. You cannot form normal sleep cycles in such a short period of time. I can assure you that your performance and your general health are both significantly reduced after doing that for a few months. You will build dependence to vivarin, (caffeine) and you will probably have long term health problems. I would highly suggest you find another way that allows you to get more sleep. Again, really not a good idea. ...Read more
