After losing 5kg for the last five months through workout and diet, i become to sweat a lot. Am I ok? Any way to reduce sweat?

Not a bad thing: Sweating is one of the ways that your body has to cool off the core temperature. When you exercise you are generating heat and your body needs to cool off. You actually keep your temperature very tightly controlled most of the time. Sweating allows you to maintain a good temperature inside. No really good way to stop it and it wouldn't be healthy at all. ...Read more

What are the five types of hyperlipedemia treated the same (diet, exercise, hmg-)?

What are the five types of hyperlipedemia treated the same (diet, exercise, hmg-)?

Homework, right?: This is the wrong place to take these questions, but I'll try anyway. The Frederickson I-V system has been superseded by an understanding of the molecular biology. A one-size-fits-all approach to hyperlipidemia Rx was abandoned in the 1970's. Wikipedia's good on this topic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlipidemia ...Read more

How to loose wiegt with healthy diet?I need is a diet chart to loose five kgs un five days

Bad idea : One kg= 6, 600 cal.Average daily consumption of calories 2000+/-. It is physically impossible for you to loose 5 kg in five days without cutting off a leg. On a healthy diet you could loose 1-2 kg/month. A local dietition could help you identify ways to do this. ...Read more

Hi. I have factor V and I wanted to see if the HGC diet would be ok to do? Thank you

Factor V Leiden: The Factor V Leiden polymorphism can be heterozygous (common, and polymorphic not a mutation as >1% of population) or homozygous (rare). I'm not sure why this venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk factor would be effected by diet. ...Read more

What is the most important factor in staying healthy through the years? Diet or exercise?

What is the most important factor in staying healthy through the years? Diet or exercise?

Both!: That said, i favor exercise to maintain health. Regular exercise has many health benefits that are independent of weight. Meaning it is better to be overweight and fit, than normal weight but out of shape. I always push exercise first. Once that is a part of the regular schedule, work on healthy eating habits. Diet should include healthy foods and be in moderation. Hope that helps! ...Read more

Let try to explain: Metabolism is the name for the process your body uses to convert the food you eat into energy. The energy your body does not use is stored as fat. Many people believe that this process slows as you age, causing weight gain. However, this is a misconception, since your metabolism is more directly related to your level of activity throughout your life. ...Read more

42yr old male, 5'10", 205 lbs. With tc 230, LDL 147, HDL 37. On diet and exercise for 2 months. Do i need medication if no other risk factor exists?

Not yet...: Give your diet and exercise regimen a full six months then get new blood testing to assess for efficacy. LDL should be lower and HDL should be higher, but you can do this without medication. Aerobic exercise. Watch the saturated and trans fats and increase fiber in the diet. If it doesn't work after six months, consider medication. ...Read more
