Difficult to say: Cramping and even a little spotting can be normal in early pregnancy especially around the time of your missed period. If you start having bleeding resembling a heavy period, go see your family doctor or your OB/Gyn, as this could be a sign of a miscarriage or a misplaced (ectopic) pregnancy. Most likely: Although it's always best to check with your OB doctor, your symptoms sound benign (harmless) if they occur only when you walk. If you're referring to the left side of your abdomen, it could be stretching of the uterine ligament, or more like, cramping from your large intestine. Are you constipated?
