I passed my due date. Im 41 weeks pregnant and I have pain in my lower back and my ass and legs . Like cramp . Is this a sign of labor?

I would recommend going to your l&d of choice and requesting evaluation with the plan of delivery! best of luck! ...Read more

At 41 weeks and 4 da: Days u should be delivered either vaginally or by c-section ! and now u are 41-6 too much chance for a bad outcome if baby stays inside, and everyone has to be delivered by 42 weeks no matter what, I do not let my pts go past 40 weeks and my pts do not want to, there are advantages if u have a csection like not stretching out the vagina or tears that can damage the rectum or shoulder dystocia! ...Read more

Labor: You are still minimally dilated, but at 41 weeks you can certainly go into labor at any time. Most times obstetricians won't let you go past 42 weeks. So you should have your baby soon. Good luck! ...Read more

Im 35 weeks pregnant and having clumpy brown watery discharge. Is this a sign of labor?

Im 35 weeks pregnant and having clumpy brown watery discharge. Is this a sign of labor?

Could mean more: Brown discharge is usually old blood. A mucusy discharge that is mixed with a brown discharge can be the mucus plug coming out. 2 important points: first, you are under 37wks or preterm & preterm labor needs to be ruled-out. Second, if the discharge is more watery, an OB doc needs to make sure you didn't break your water, so you should call your OB and been evaluated at your hospital. ...Read more

My wife is 8 months pregnant and she says it feels like the baby has dropped a few inches. she is at work. when would be the bes time for her to put in for her leave and what signs should i look for as a husband to find out if she is ready for labor?

Talk to your OB: The best person to answer your questions is your wife's OB, because s/he knows your wife. Just because the baby "dropped" doesn't mean she's going into labor. She will feel contractions getting stronger and more frequent when her labor starts. Her OB can help you decide when she should stop working. ...Read more
