40 Weeks Pregnant Signs Of Labor
I am 40 weeks pregnant on sunday 6/12/16 and have been having solid bright green stool for about a week. Is this normal or a sign labor being close?
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Can be: Nausea is very common in labor because the stomach stops emptying normally and some people experience the early contractions as cramps. At 40 weeks pregnant, symptoms like these can often be the start of labor. Check with your OB to see if you should be seen at the office or in labor and delivery but you do need to be checked. Best wishes to you and the baby. ...Read more

Pregnancy: That is one of the great questions of our time. All I know is babies never stay in they always come out. Not to be flippant, but your baby will come when it is ready or when your doctor decides you meet the criteria for induction. Good luck! ...Read more

I am 40 weeks pregnant and 3 days over my due date already 2cm lost my mucus plug is there anything I can do to help the labor process along?
Talk with your OB: The ob's I work with pay close attention to anyone that goes over 40 wks. They do stress tests to assure the babies status & will induce by 41 wks if it goes that far. There are many myths about drinking things like caster oil or jumping around etc., non of which change what will happen naturally. ...Read more
Well I'm 40 weeks pregnant and I can't be induced due to the fact I'm going vaginally after two c-sections but my body don't know how to go in to labor on its own how can I get my water to break on its own and I'm already dilated 2 center meters?
Don't: Not sure why you are doing a trial of vaginal birth after 2 c sections. This is not a good idea as you are at an even higher rate of uterine rupture than someone after one c section. ...Read more
40 weeks pregnant heartburn, back pain and feel like I have to go #2 and nothing comes out. Early labor?
Not yet necessarily: Just means that the size of the gravid uterus is pressing on the colon/abdominal content giving the urge to defecate. Also likely causing the back pain as well. Likely won't be long until you go into labor, based on gestation. Try to lay in the left lateral recumbent position, and follow up with your ob/gyn for further instructions. ...Read more
