I'm 35 and have a 9cm fluid-filled ovarian cyst that has not resolved in 6+ months. Doc wants to remove that ovary. Is this the best treatment?

Ask your Doc: Your doc should be able to refer you to the appropriate gyn or simply ask the gyn-onc you saw. It's also possible that your cyst is functional (normal) & will resolve on it's own (no surgery). If it persists or develops concerning features, a laparoscopic cystectomy (remove the cyst only) will preserve your ovary.
