39 Weeks Pregnant 1 Cm Dilated
33 wks pregnant irregular painless contractions, positive ffn test, 1 CM dilated, baby well into pelvis, 6th pregnancy, will i give birth early?
Hard to say: The fetal fibrobectin test is much more predictive of the real condition, or the truth, when the test is negative, than when it is positive. A single positive ffn test result is not highly predictive of preterm labor and delivery, and since you are probably not in active labor from irregular contractions, it's hard to answer your question with confidence. See your OB regularly as directed ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Varies so much!: The cervix gets thinner, softer, and can begin to dilate at the end of pregnancy. So it would seem that things are moving the right way. That, of course, doesn't tell you anything about when you'll actually go into labor! Watch for a gush or a trickle of fluid that can happen when your water breaks, or increasingly frequent cramps or back pains that go along with a "tight" feeling of the uterus. ...Read more

Normal values for cx: The cervical length decreases during the course of pregnancy. Both values are well within the normal range for 19 and 21 weeks of prognancy. 37 wks pregnant, AF index 8, placenta grade 3, fetal lungs mature, weight 3 kg, cephalic, head 4/5 in pelvis. Cervix 0.5 cm open. When to expect labor?
Ok: This sounds like a very common scenario in a near-term pregnancy. The limited information you've provided is not necessarily a sign of impending delivery but could be depending on how quickly things are changing. Certainly though, your obstetrician is the only appropriate person to give you a proper assessment here. Don't be afraid to ask him or her! ...Read more

The endometrium measured 1.7cm in thickness. Age 39. Period 16-20 March 2015. Also anteverted uterus measuring 9.7X8.8X7.8 cm seen. Bad?
Enlarged uterus: From what she described her uterus is mildly enlarged. The endometrium measuring 1.7 cm is not unusual at this point in her cycle. Technically you should be somewhere midcycle and the endometrium will be thickening in this phase. As long as they were not able to see a polyp within the endometrial cavity or a fibroid tumor which is benign, then I would proceed conservatively. ...Read more

Ovulated around jan 12, now pregnant and dr says i'm 6 weeks but ultrasound said 4 1/2 weeks, sac measured 3.9 mm. Should i be concerned?
Not yet: Depending on how certain you are about your date of ovulation or lmp, the ultrasound findings are not necessarily worrisome. If the ultrasound saw a gestational sac and it had mean diameter of 3.9, the estimated date would be about 4.6 weeks. This is too soon to see the yolk sac or embryo. If the dates are not certain, this is the expected appearance of a very early intrauterine pregnancy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
