38 Weeks Pregnant Mucus Discharge
Normal: Mucus discharge in pregnancy is very inconsistent. Sometimes there is a lot and sometimes there isn't. Both are normal. Best wishes!

I have grainy white discharge after a cervical exam--actually 3 total last night (38 weeks pregnant. In early labor. 1cm) what is it? Mucous plug?
Could be: It's certainly normal to have mucous discharge after a cervical exam when you are 1 cm dilated.
Would a D&C be performed if a mother is miscarrying at 37/38 weeks pregnancy? And if so, how soon before the patient is discharged?
Term pregnancy: At that point, the pregnancy is full term and will be "stillborn." A sad situation and I feel for her. She will likely have her labor induced and deliver vaginally if possible. The length of stay in the hospital will be similar to one for a regular birth. This assumes the mother doesn't have a complication such as an infection.
Clear mucus discharge from vagina? What does it mean?!? Help? Because I don't want to be preganant:' (also with brown discharge with it
Discharge: A pregnancy test is simple, cheap, and will quickly answer your question about pregnancy. Otherwise, brown mucus discharge may be normal or a sign of a uterine problem, cervical problem or even a vaginal infection. Either way, just see a doctor who can easily tell you what is going on.
Hello, I am 34 weeks pregant and am high risk due to 2 preterm labors both 34 weeks. Noticed today I have slimy thick mucus discharge. Should I be seen?
Yes: Yes, you should go to labor and delivery to be evaluated immediately.
I'm 38 weeks and have had lots of discharge in the pregnancy. On monday I lost my mucus plug, since then I have had NO discharge, should I worry?
No: Just to clarify the mucus plus is usually greenish to green brown and about the size of the palm of your hand when it comes out all at once. It often times has some old blood in it. Leukorrhea discharge of pregnancy varies to almost none to a large amount. My only concern is that by discharge you mean watery leakage. If your bag of water is leaking then you need to see you OB today.
Not relevant: When we are checking blood counts during pregnancy, assuming that the basic counts related to hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelets are normal for pregnancy, then we really do not spend too much time looking at these individual parameters related to red blood cells. If there is a more specific problem being asked, please ask!
Nothing: Mucus, in and of itself, isn't a concern at 38 weeks. Reasons for concern are baby not moving as much or at all. Any vaginal bleeding, painful contractions, or the sensation your water may have broken. If any of these latter concerns occur go to labor and delivery right away. Passing some mucus however is not a cause for concern.
Can the mucus plug be a green/yellow color? 38 weeks pregnant and having a colored, thick discharge?
Mucous: Think of mucous from your cervix just like mucous from you nose or from coughing. Mucous comes in a variety of colors, quantities and consistencies.
I am 38 weeks pregnant and have a lot of mucus clear sometimes a little yellow discharge and it's itchy and burns a little bit is this normal?
Pregnancy problem: Although it doesn't sound particularly serious, the itchy and burning aspect may indicate some sort of infection. See your ob/gyn.

Clear water drops and one time small fresh blood spot period like cramping is it labor or something else at 38 weeks pregnancy?
Obgyn evaluation: You will need to contact your Obgyn to arrange an evaluation. Since you are near term you will need to make sure you did not break your water. You could just be dilating and passing your mucous plug. An evaluation will be needed to determine what is going on.

Water broke: Your water may have broke. You should see your doctor immediately. Prolonged rupture may lead to infection. Therefore, you should be delivered if your water has broke.
See your doctor: At this stage, it could be anything from being normal discharge to premature rupture of membranes. Go to your doctor and he/she will find out.
Discharge: Probably nothing, assuming you have not broken your water, the discharge doesn't smell bad, and isn't irritating.
