Will cervix be open at 37 weeks 5 days if it was closed at 36 weeks 5 days pregnant with 4th child?

Could be: One can not predict exactly when one’s cervix is going to start dilating. We also can not predict when labor will occur. At your next prenatal appointment ask your doctor to do a cervical exam. They will easily be able to assess the current status of your cervix. ...Read more

Later, after more contractions, the cervix becomes moderately dilated (the opening of the cervix is moderate big). Finally, the cervix is fully dilated, and the baby can start going through the ...Read more

Significance of low co2 (17mEq/l) and high anion gap (19mEq/l) in late (37 weeks) pregnancy? All other tests in metabolic panel within normal limits.

Significance of low co2 (17mEq/l) and high anion gap (19mEq/l) in late (37 weeks) pregnancy? All other tests in metabolic panel within normal limits.

Reason for checking: I suppose the answer would vary depending on why it was checked. If there were certain symptoms or problems then the tests need to be analyzed in that context. Simply looking at only these numbers with no context they do not appear particularly abnormal for the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. The doctor who ordered them will be in the best position to interpret them. ...Read more

I'm 37 weeks 1 day pregnant and having tight cramps cervix was closed at app could it change quick I'm due September 14?

It's unpredictable: "Tight cramps" due to uterine contractions, even if frequent or strong, may not necessarily cause your cervix to dilate and may continue on and off for days until labor actually begins at term. Unfortunately, since they can lead within hours to days to premature labor, seek advice ,guidance and close follow-up from your obstetrician who would want you to remain pregnant until at least 39 weeks . ...Read more

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and my cervix is 34mm closed tightly. Will scrubbing floor help? Baby has double nuchal cord and not yet engaged.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and my cervix is 34mm closed tightly. Will scrubbing floor help? Baby has double nuchal cord and not yet engaged.

Discuss with Ob: Scrubbing the floor is not an issue that would help. Clarify with your doctor what management will be done knowing the baby has a double nuchal cord. Options included serial sonograms, biophysical profiles, nonstress testing and others. Depending on your overall prenatal care induction of labor or even c section may be considered at some point. Frank discussion with your doctor are warranted. ...Read more

I am 37 weeks pregnant and 2/3 CM with soft cervix how long for labor?

It depends: There are so many factors in this question. Is this the first child? How long have you been 2/3 cm? And there is a lot of variability. As much as i hate to say it, there is no way of telling how long your labor may be, from 2-3 hours to over 24 hours. For children 2, 3, 4, etc.... That time will likely diminish. First children can be very unpredictable. ...Read more
