When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

35 weeks pregnant & I just don't feel pregnant. Was having contractions all morning, but they were small& now I can run & feel lighter. Over 1 CM dialtd?
Lucky you!: Maybe the position of the baby has changed to make you more comfortable. As long as you are feeling good movement from your baby, all is probably well. It is common to have occasional contractions that come and go as you get further along in your pregnancy. If you have painful, regular contraction more than 6 in an hour or your water breaks, call your doctor or midwife. ...Read more

35 weeks pregnant & diagnosed with 12 CM adnexal cyst on left ovary. Does this require removal of ovary? Also how was this missed on prior ultrasounds
Depends: A 12cm ovarian cyst will certainly get the attention of your physician! Further action will depends on the cyst's ultrasound characteristics and any symptoms it may be causing you. Your OB may elect to do a laparoscopy. Results would determine further action. The cyst may have been smaller on prior studies and/ or obscured by the pregnant uterus or gas filled loops of bowel. Good luck! ...Read more
35 weeks pregnant 2 CM dilated 80 effaced with pre-term labor scare at 30 weeks, am I more likely to go into labor in days or weeks?
Unpredictable: If you've had vaginal births in the past or preterm births in the past, then the likelihood of early delivery is greater, but I have also had patients get up to 4cm and just stay that way for weeks, delivering ultimately at term. It is somewhat unpredictable, but with your cervix as it is, you should be closely followed by your OB. No steroids needed at this point. NICU care if born early. ...Read more

If some one 35 weeks pregnant uses cocain one time at 35 weeks how long will it take to get clean.? And what are the chances of baby coming out dirty
Pregnancy & "coke": I wish this question was about the drinking kind of "Coke" (soda pop), but unfortunately the use of cocaine (one time?) during pregnancy has a severe impact on fetus & mother. Getting "clean" means no further use of the drug and indeterminate liver/kidney excretion rates. The treating OB MD must be informed immediately of cocaine use as the fetus may have withdrawal signs at delivery. ...Read more

I am 35 weeks pregnant and had two abortions and one induced abortion at 5 months due to holoprosencephaly child that was very painful want to know how much painful this time ll be to deliver a baby and whether baby will come on time or earlier?
Labor hurts: Most women find labor a lot of work and painful. They are blessed with selective forgetting since most are willing to do it again later. Your history of prior abortions will have no particular impact on the process. Labor will start when it decides to. Only about 5% deliver on their due date while 80% + deliver within 2 wks of it. ...Read more

35 weeks pregnant, is it real contractions or braxton hicks one every few hours? Hurts so bad I have to crouch over and breath deeply till it stops
Braxton Hicks: You are probably having Braxton Hicks contractions. These contractions can sometimes be quite painful. Make sure that you stay hydrated. Labor pains usually become more frequent and stronger with time. You are considered in labor only when the pains cause your cervix to become thinner and the cervix starts dilating. Call your Doctor if yor have vaginal bleeding, or your condition worsens. ...Read more
Is it safe to get composite filling while pregnant? 35 weeks pregnant and I have two bad ones that need to be filled!
Absolutely safe: However, a dentist should go over your complete medical (and dental) history, and consult with both your obstetrician and you regarding some basic safety precautions. In most cases, not getting needed dental care is more deleterious to both you and your unborn child. Congratulations and best of luck! ...Read more
I am 35 weeks pregnant and I have a swollen ankle only in one leg though. What is it amd what can I do to help the swelling go down?
Pedal edema: The majoriy of women will experience leg swelling (pedal edema) during pregnancy, and for most it will increase as the pregnancy progresses. I'm a type 1 diabetic, and currently 35 weeks pregnant I was wondering if anyone had horrible blood sugars or anything go wrong while pregnant?
Blood sugars: Those last few weeks of pregnancy are important - not that pregnancy from day 1 isn't - and you must work carefully with your diabetes doctor and the obstetrician. Most women with diabetes, when taken care of, do very well with pregnancy. Best of luck and don't worry too much - just enjoy your new baby. ...Read more
Depends...: Towards the end of pregnancy, its quite common to have more discharge. Usually this isn't worrisome. If the discharge is bloody, itches or has a bad odor, you should have it checked out. If it is watery and soaking your underwear, your water bag could have a leak so it should be evaluated. Best wishes! ...Read more
Lots of possibilitie: Assuming you don't have a placenta previa, brown discharge at 35weeks pregnant is most likely not anything bad - but needs to be reported to your doctor. Some common causes: early ctx's with a little cervical softening or dilation (preterm labor) can cause this; sometimes vaginitis (yeast or bv) can cause; intercourse can cause) - less often: could be leaking amniotic fluid; small abruption. ...Read more
Mucus plug?: Hard to know. I wonder if this might be the mucus plug or "bloody show" which occurs before labor starts. Since brown discharge may be blood, ask your doctor about this, particularly since you are still early. I trust you are not having contractions or other abdominal pain. And I trust that you are feeling plenty of baby movement. Check with your doctor to be sure about this. Lgromkomd. ...Read more
