34 Weeks Pregnant And Bleeding
34 weeks pregnant had bloody show 2 days ago. 3 cms. I'm constipated and whenever I try to use the bathroom I start bleeding again. Is this normal?
Let your OB/MW know: No, not normal. Someone should be aware of this & watching you closely. Are you sure the blood is from your vagina & not hemorrhoids? Do you know where the umbilical cord & placenta are in your uterus? Near the cervical os (opening)? 34 weeks is viable (with ICU support) but you need to get as close to 37-40 weeks for lung/ surfactant development. Has anyone mentioned a cerclage and/or bed rest? ...Read more

Sexual activity can irritate these cells and cause minor bleeding. I'm 34 weeks and i'm bleeding, I went to the ER and was told that it may be a bruised capillary. Today I bled more than previously. Please advice.?
Labor & Delivery: Third trimester bleeding can be serious. Make sure your OB sees you and performs 1. Speculum exam (to see where bleeding is coming from 2. Nst (assess fetal well being) 3. Ultrasound (look for placenta abnl & assess infant). If no source is found, an abruption is the diagnosis of exclusion and you should be followed closely with serial nsts, exam, and ultrasounds.
