When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and my baby is too small if she hasn't grown in 2 weeks they will deliver her will she be ok?
Growth restriction: The failure of a baby to grow at the expected rate in later pregnancy can be caused by multiple issues. I've seen as many as 3 knots in an umbilical cord (kid did ok eventually) and kids with a placenta the size of a bagle. There can also be issues with the baby. It makes sense to plan an early delivery if baby is not growing, more direct methods to supplement nutrition is available after birth. ...Read more

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and my baby measure small 3.1. What that's mean and what can I do for my baby to gain some weight.
Ask your OB!: I assume this was confirmed by ultrasound. Many factors can contribute to a baby who's "small for gestational age." Poor maternal nutrition, some medications, a placenta that's not functioning properly, health conditions like smoking and high blood pressure are all possibilities. It's critical that you discuss this with your OB so that the cause (s) can be identified and, hopefully, treated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Going on 32 weeks pregnant and having pains really low in front and in my back back and forth. Pains aren't extreme. What does it mean?
A few possibilities: You may feel a variety of symptoms related to the baby/just being pregnant. One might be stretching of ligaments that support the uterus; baby movements may be uncomfortable; alternatively, you may be having uterine cramping. This must be differentiated from pre-term labor. Even if your pain isn't extreme, it seems to be happening frequently enough that you should be examined by your ob. Call them. ...Read more
Depends: If you had intercourse in the last day or so, possible. However, I would call your OB provider tonight and alert them of the spotting. He/she may want you monitored for labor and I would do at least a urinalysis to exclude infection. Most OB providers have an answering service. Call the office even if closed to see if the call goes to the service. ...Read more

Yes: Hopefully, the ultrasounds were all performed for medically indicated reasons. However, ultrasound has been proven safe in fetal evaluations. In early pregnancy we take care to limit the amount of time an embryo/fetus is examined and adjust the power settings as low as possible. These are additional precautions to further improve the safety of a test already shown to be safe. ...Read more
I accidentally ate expired Graham Crackers and I'm 32 weeks pregnant. Could or will this harm my baby?
32 weeks pregnant. Detected cord around baby's neck in today's usg. Should I be worried? Anything I can do to reverse it?
Try not to worry: Baby's move so much, that cord's around the neck are not uncommon. While you can't do anything to reverse it, you can keep track of your baby's well being. Your doctor has likely explained kick counts to you. You can keep track of how often the baby moves, which is always a reassuring sign. I would also assume that your OB will be keeping a close eye on baby as well for any signs of distress. ...Read more
