When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

They test urine/poo: When there is suspicion of drug exposure or a child protective service watch in effect for a given delivery, i test urine & poo, not placentas. The urine will be clear if the meth is long out of mom's system but the poo will reflect exposure for weeks to months prior to birth. ...Read more

Im 39 weeks pregnant and get lower belly cramps, rectum cramps as well. Soon after I let gas out, the.cramps then go away. Is it early signs of labor?
Maybe not: It sounds like you hare having cramping from gas. The bowels are compressed by the enlarged uterus at 39 weeks and gas can cause some cramping. Pregnant women at term get all sorts of strange sensations. Its sometimes hard to sort them all out; however, labor pain isn't usually associated with gas. If some one 35 weeks pregnant uses cocain one time at 35 weeks how long will it take to get clean. ? And what are the chances of baby coming out dirty
Pregnancy & "coke": I wish this question was about the drinking kind of "Coke" (soda pop), but unfortunately the use of cocaine (one time?) during pregnancy has a severe impact on fetus & mother. Getting "clean" means no further use of the drug and indeterminate liver/kidney excretion rates. The treating OB MD must be informed immediately of cocaine use as the fetus may have withdrawal signs at delivery. ...Read more
Had a natural missed miscarriage at 12 weeks 2 days, but baby passed at 9 weeks. I'm 39, but healthy. How soon can I start to have baby again?
16 weeks pregnant and have severe nausea and vomiting and at the ER, passed out took samples but no IV fluids, shouldn't we be hooked up to IV?
Depends...: It all depends on how dehydrated they estimated you were. If they thought that you could go by with oral fluids only most likely they understood that the best treatment option was just that. If you persist vomiting and not tolerating even small sips of liquid might be time to go back for reevaluation. For now try very small sips of fluid and maybe dry crackers to help your stomach feel better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
