Exercise: There is no basis for thinking a pill will accelerate weight loss in a healthful way. You are on the right track with eating natural and whole foods, emphasizing a balance and avoiding saturated fats. Resistance, weights and exercise are a healthy way to lose weight while eating lighter.

Weight loss: This is simple math. If you use up more calories than you take in you will lose weight. Exercise is healthy and burns calories. Also make sure you do away with soft-drinks and minimize all sugar containing foods. It is difficult to believe you have really adhered to a 1000 calorie diet. Good luck.

Is a 1200 calorie a day diet healthy, for losing weight? Is it a good diet if you are not trying to lose weight. Because sometimes you miss meals.

Is a 1200 calorie a day diet healthy, for losing weight? Is it a good diet if you are not trying to lose weight. Because sometimes you miss meals.

Maybe: 1200 calories a day can be a good maintainence diet, but could also cause weight gain. If you are not exercising and if there are a lot of sugars and starches iin that 1200 cal, weight gain is more likely. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will burn also.

1600 calorie south indian style diet chart for weight loss?

Diets: In general, with regard to weight loss, the calorie content of the diet is more significant than the nutrient content of the diet. Health benefits like improvements in diabetes and heart risk appear to be more related to nutrient content. In general, data seems to be pointing to moderation in simple carbohydrates and saturated fats and high in omega 3 fats, lean protein, and fiber.

After I reach my goal weight loss, do I have to maintain a 1, 400 calorie diet or can I return back to 2, 000?

Depends: Depends upon your goal weight and activity level. As a rough estimate add a zero to your current goal weight and that is approximately the number of calories you can eat and maintain, but it depends upon the composition of your diet, and activity level. Also, our individual metabolic rate will vary, so different for each person. Be sure your goal is realistic!

Can a low calorie diet can slow down weight loss?

Can a low calorie diet can slow down weight loss?

Low calorie diet: Low calorie diets are 800-1000cal/day with small meals every 2-3 hours r very effective. People consuming fewer than this may decrease their resting metabolism rate over time since too few calories appears like starvation, causing the body to slow its metabolism rate. Weight loss centers measure resting metabolism rate to help develop a program right for your metabolism & monitor muscle loss.

How can low calorie diets hinder long-term weight loss maintenance?

How can low calorie diets hinder long-term weight loss maintenance?

Gall Stone Formation: Potentially fatal heart rhythm disturbances may occur. These diets cause a rapid shift in water balance, especially in the early phases, which can lead to dangerous alterations in the balance of electrolytes that are important to normal heart function and rhythm (especially potassium). Low calorie diets are likely to be nutritionally insufficient. There is an increased gallstone formarmation.

How much weight loss you can have on 2 months of very low calorie diet?

How much weight loss you can have on 2 months of very low calorie diet?

It depends: On your height, weight, sex, age and metabolic rate. On average a young male on a very low calorie diet (800 kcal/day) can lose up to 4-5 lbs. In a week (female 2-3 lbs./week). The heavier the start weight, the more the weight loss, unless an underlying disease like low thyroid function is in place. With intense exercise (cardio and weights) the weight loss can be more obviously.

Is sugar found in fruits- such as dates-bad for weight loss? How much should I have? (on a daily calorie diet of 1, 352) also dates have carbs! >_<

YES, choose low glyc.: All sugars are carbs (though not all carbs are sugars). Minimizing sugar is crucial for weight loss. Some fruits have much more sugar than others. Glycemic index measures how much a food raises blood sugar. Dates actually raise blood sugar more than pure sugar! Low-glycemic fruits like berries, cherries ; apples can be eaten in moderation; avoid high-glycemic fruits. See http://abt. Cm/1qoyvhx.
