30 Weeks Pregnant With Twins
I'm 30 weeks pregnant with twins at what point do they become capable of surviving outside the womb?
Depends on hospital: That's a tricky a question because if you expect for no interventions to be needed then standard delivery of twins is at 37-38 weeks but even then twins can have slower lung maturity than their single pregnancy counterparts and I would always want neonatal pediatricians around for support. I'm 30 weeks pregnant with twins should I be seeing a specialist if my obgyn told me there is only one placenta? What risks does this pose?
Monochorionic twins: unless your obstetrician has a lot of experience taking care of monochorionic twins, I would see a specialist because these pregnancies can be somewhat high risk, with concern for preterm delivery, inadequate fetal growth, and complications of delivery due to changes in the fetal heart tracing related to having to share a single placenta. hope that helps. ...Read more

I'm 30 week's pregnant with twins about how much do they weigh at this point and how big are they? I feel too small to be carrying twins
Not an exact science: Everyone is different in how they look throughout their pregnancy but if your OB isn't worried about your weight then you shouldn't be either and I guarantee he/she is keeping tabs and they should be measuring you at each appointment. Around 30 weeks, each twin should be weighing a little less than 4 pounds each, give or take, but that's an average too.Don't worry, place your faith in your doc :-) ...Read more
