Should my 3 months old baby be feeding every 3 hours? She's excusively breast feed

Should my 3 months old baby be feeding every 3 hours? She's excusively breast feed

More or less: I push for 2.5-3 hours during the day and 4-5 hr at night. If you make a gradual change this can happen and you will both do well. After the kid reaches 10 lb, she may sleep 5-7 hrs. This is often aided if she is fed as she wakens rather than as she tires and is ready for sleep. Removing feeds from the sleep ritual alows them to learn to self settle. ...Read more

Hair fall for a breastfeeding mother of 3 months n 3 weeks old child?

Telogen effluvium: Sudden apparent hair loss without the creation of bald spots usually represents a normal periodic process called telogen effluvium. This tends to resolve spontaneously before anyone notices any thinning of the hair (you usually just see a lot in the shower drain). If others notice that your hair is thinning, however, then you may want to consult your doctor. ...Read more

Why would my 3 week old breastfed baby be constipated?

Why would my 3 week old breastfed baby be constipated?

Depends: Straining or irregular stooling doen not mean constipation. The nb breast fed kid may go 7-10 days without a stool or poo a little at each meal.As long as it is soft, i don't consider that constipation. If the kid is putting out dry rabbit pellets or stool bigger than your finger you can sometimes tease a stool out using vasaline on a q-tip inserted to the length of the cotton & worked around. ...Read more

Is it possible to over feed my 3 week old baby? He's breastfeeding, not bottle feeding.

Is it possible to over feed my 3 week old baby? He's breastfeeding, not bottle feeding.

Possible: Breast fed babies usually stop sucking when they feel full. If your baby is spitting up a lot, that could mean he is taking more than he needs, but at this age, don't worry about overfeeding. The baby needs lots of calories for growth. ...Read more

Im breastfeeding, baby is 3 month old , when can I drink coffee?

Im breastfeeding, baby is 3 month old , when can I drink coffee?

Now: The caffeine in coffee is considered safe during lactation after the newborn period.Consumption around the time of delivery has problems because baby has not developed a way of getting rid of it easily and it can linger in the system for days, producing irritability and poor feeding. After the first week it is broken down more like adults and is seldom a cause of baby symptoms. ...Read more

Why does my 3 week old son frequently vomits milk formula after feeding?

Why does my 3 week old son frequently vomits milk formula after feeding?

Spit up versus vomit: Quite normal for many babies to spit up small amounts of milk/formula after feeding. Should be white & not green which could be sign of intestinal obstruction. Helped by vigorous burping. Larger volumes can be associated with gastric reflux, helped by keeping baby tilted head up. Projectile vomiting is another matter & could indicate presence of pyloric stenosis. Can be diagnosed sonographically. ...Read more

My 3 week old baby always coughs right after she's finished nursing.. Why?

My 3 week old baby always coughs right after she's finished nursing.. Why?

Likely normal: Babies have the remarkable ability to breathe and swallow at the same time. So right after feeding she may be inhaling a little milk and sputtering a bit. That' s fine, and you can ignore it. However, if she's getting very fussy and irritable, reflux is also a possibility. ...Read more

3 months baby sleeping longer at night 4-5 hours and feeding less than usual, around 3 1/2oz- 4oz, she used to take 5oz.. She breastfeeds?

3 months baby sleeping longer at night 4-5 hours and feeding less than usual, around 3 1/2oz- 4oz, she used to take 5oz.. She breastfeeds?

May be ok: As long as a 3 month-old baby is happy, interactive, gaining weight, not fussy; and has no ill signs such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or rashes, then he may be normal (because babies change their eating and sleeping habits as they grow). A 3 month-old baby can sleep 6-7 hours at night. The amount he breastfeeds is usually unknown (isn't measured). The doctor can re-check his weight and length. ...Read more

Is it okay to drink wine while breast feeding my child is 3 weeks old im breast feeding

Is it okay to drink wine while breast feeding my child is 3 weeks old im breast feeding

One opinion: It depends on how much wine. If you feel high or giddy it is likely too much for the baby. One small glass of wine might even be good for you and the baby. I think it depends, but everyone seems to agree it is less of a concern than during early pregnancy. ...Read more

My baby is 5 months old. Upto 3 months she gained 1kg per month. Now she's gaining 3 or 4 hundred gram per month.is it a prblm ( bf n solids)?

Growth chart...: Is your daughter seeing her pediatrician for check ups? The pediatrician will plot her weight and make sure it looks good - ask to see the growth chart for reassurance. 1 kg/mo is a bit more than "expected" weight gain in the beginning (all that healthy breast milk!) and the velocity of weight gain does slow as babies get older - otherwise she would weigh 12 kg more than bw at 1 y/o :) ...Read more
