Ovarian cysts again not the usual cause of miscarriages however, you can get a hemorrhagic corpus luteum cyst which lowers the Progesterone level which leads to miscarriage. Not a typical cause of miscarriageā€¦ But I have seen situations where Progesterone levels are very low in the presence of such assist. Unlikely: Lifetime risk of cancer is 1 in 60-90. Small odds. It usually strikes women after the age of 45. There are other findings on an ultrasound that can suggest if its a benign or malignant looking cyst. if your gyn feels its safe to follow in 6 weeks, thats a normal approach.
