3 Nite Clindamycin And Clotrimazole Vaginal Suppositories
Maybe: I typically tell patients if they have both conditions to use one medication at a time. Having said that, i don't think you can cause harm by using both medications. Possibly just reduced efficacy in treating the infections. Sometimes i will use vaginal antifungal and Metronidazole orally. ...Read more

Vaginal burn and itch, also on vulva, irritated clitoris, some discharge, 3 blisters. 3 treatment with antibiotics in 3 months, taking oral probiotic?
Likely infection: Vaginal symptoms and blisters despite 3 rounds of antibiotics - i suspect there is still an infection going on. Possibly yeast or BV or another bacterial infection, possible herpes. Could also be an irritation reaction to something you're applying to the area. Anyway you need another doctor exam. In the meantime, ice in a plastic bag, or doing aveeno (oatmeal) soaks can be soothing. Good luck. ...Read more

Can metronidazole vaginal gel (at night for 5 days) treat cervicitis and bacterial vaginosis at the same time??
Probably OK, but...: Bacterial vaginosis is often accompanied by cervicitis. It isn't clear whether BV causes cervicitis or vice versa. Probably you were tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea, which definitely cause cervicitis; double check with your doctor. Assuming you don't have them, BV treatment alone may be sufficient. Oral metronidazole is the usual treatment for BV, usually more effective than the vaginal gel. ...Read more

Longstanding vaginal gischarge with foul smelling dispite of using topical antfungal and vaginal pessaries several times.its embarrasing alot?
See answer : Most common causes of a persistent foul smelling vaginal discharge would be: 1) infectious causes, such as bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas, and gonorrhea, or 2) foreign body such as a forgotten/retained tampon. Proper pelvic and speculum vaginal exam along with appropriate cultures of discharge should provide correct diagnosis. Likely not a yeast infection given your hx and prior antifungal use ...Read more
Diagnosed with bacterial vaginitis and yeast infection 7daysago. Took Diflucan (fluconazole) and intravaginal AB. White clumps continue and itching back. Monistat3?
Return to doctor: Hmmm... something doesn't compute. Bacterial vaginosis is not effectively treated with intravaginal antibiotics; it requires antibiotic by mouth (usually metronidazole). Fluconazole (Diflucan) usually works well for yeast, but miconazole (Monistat) is very similar and might not help if fluconazole did not. Return to be rechecked by the doctor or clinic where you were diagnosed and treated. ...Read more

Diagnosed with bacteria in vaginal area Did Betadine douche, 3days Dalacin ovule and still itching with distinctive odor. How to stop it? I'm fed up:(
BV? Yeast?: Vaginal "bacterial infection" with strong odor usually is bacterial vaginosis (BV), overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. Vaginal treatments don't work as well as an antibiotic orally, usually metronidazole. However, itching usually is yeast, a different infection needing different treatment. Maybe you need treatment for both. Discuss with your doctor or get a second opinion. ...Read more
