210pounds 5^2 21yrs old. Considering the 400(or600) calories a day diet. Nutritional diet plan?

Not enough calories: If you drop caloric intake too drastically - you will actually eat up a lot of muscle and drop your metabolic rate. This is NOT a healthy way to lose weight. Consider working with a nutritionist so that you can do this in a healthy way. Take care. ...Read more

My 7 month baby is formula fed, how much milk should she be having now? She eats 3 meals per day consisting of cereal fruit & vegetables.

24-36 oz: Before babies are taking solids a simple rule of thumb is: offer 2.5 ounces of formula per pound of body weight each day. Once taking solids, it can be harder to judge but most 8 month old's are drinking about 4 to 5, 6 ounce bottles a day: some more, some less. Offer only formula or water and let hunger be her guide. If she is growing well, has frequent wet diapers--perfect! if questions; ask! ...Read more

Wheat allergy & mostly (not 100%) gluten free diet. Still has gastro issues. Doc testing for Celiac. W/ mostly gluten-free diet will test b accurate?

?which test ?: Testing for celiac varies. There are blood tests, which can show positive with small amounts of gluten intake. (1/10 of a slice of bread)The most dramatic and accepted confirmatory test for celiac disease is a small intestine biopsy. Im taking whey protein regularly. Practicing weight lifting 3 times/week. I take 50 g whey protein after workout and the next morning. Is it healthy?

Depends . . .: Minimum recommended is 10-15% of daily calories from protein or ~0.36g/lb body weight for someone relatively inactive. But for athletes, 0.5-1g/lb body weight is recommended. So whether it's healthy depends upon your weight & your kidney function (less if your kidneys aren't healthy). Check out http://goo.Gl/r2oo3 & http://goo.Gl/oaqo0. ...Read more

I was on protein diet I was lose every week 3kg my diet plan included 5 meals a lot of vegetables , fish ,chicken, and beef 45min workout is it healthy?

Slow it down: Losing 3 kg (6.6 pounds) a week is a pretty rapid weight loss. If you have a lot (30+ kg) to lose, this rate may be ok. The frequent eating is good as is "lot of vegetables." The protein is ok, but ideally you would have a little fiber/carbohydrate, too. Calories >900/day. If a variety of exercises in workout, 45 min/day is ok. Slow down weight loss to maximize chance of permanent loss. ...Read more

Taking Garcinia Cambogia diet pills... The bottle says take 3 pills a day an hour b4 a meal.. Thing is I only eat lunch & dinner. Will it still work?

Key is food choices: Everyone looses body fat (& wt in general) if they eat less mass than body functions remove daily. Weigh daily to track. There are no clinical trials that GC effective or does much of anything; marketing: selling hope & "magical pills" all protected by DSHEA Act of 1994 which protects sellers from dishonesty/proof. Does the 3 day military diet really work?

Would anticipate: short-term loss with significant water loss. The military diet (AKA 3 day diet) is a short term diet plan. A specific low calorie diet menu is spelled out & is to be used 3 days per week. Food choices are provided for four “days off” totaling 1,500 calorie intake per day. The diet promises that you can lose up to ten pounds in a week. I would be concerned about how low the calorie intake is on > ...Read more

Are you supposed to be hungry on a diet? I cut calories to 1900 and I'm starving. I eat balanced nutritious meals, physical job, exercise 2x week

Of course you are: Yes, that's what makes dieting hard. You can try different things to help this: eating smaller portions more frequently, drinking a glass of water, low calorie snacks, or taking a little walk. Your body will adjust and the hunger pangs will improve. Most cravings last 5-10 minutes and then go away, whether you give in to them or not. ...Read more

Eat 7 portions of fruit daily, plenty of vegetables, eat pretty healthy and exercise intense 4 to 5 days a week, could get diabtes because of glucose?

Unlikely but...: While fruit contains sugars as glucose and fructose, the fiber in fruit reduces its effects on raising blood sugar. In the context of an otherwise healthy diet and exercise you probably won't get diabetes, though it would be wise to consume mostly lower-glycemic fruits like berries, cherries, apples and citrus while minimizing melons and tropical fruits that tend to have a higher glycemic index. ...Read more
