I have a 4.3 cm cyst on my right ovary that is causing bleeding aroind it... Is this a big cyst what is my dr likly too do? In alot of pain
Not that big: Every month you menstruate, you had an ovarian cyst. That cyst has the egg in it. On occassion, when the ovulation occurs the edges of the cyst will bleed causing a Hemorrhagic cyst. These can be painful fo rsome women. 4.3 cm cyst is not that big. But, if it is thought that your cyst is the actual cause of your pain, it might require surgery. A radiologist might be able to drain it with CT guide ...Read more

Painful simple 3.5 cm cyst, right ovary. Uncomfortable, that side groin feels swollen. Should I wait 2 months for follow up ultrasound or press tests?
Get re-examined: No, don't wait! If you are having groin swelling, and discomfort it is important to get re-examined as the inguinal area (groin) is a "hot spot" for swollen lymph nodes from the pelvis. ...Read more
Just found out I have a 3.6 cm cyst on right ovary. Having hip pain, back pain, nausea, constipation, I look about 7 months pregnant but have lost 5 l?
3.6 cm = about 1.5in: Hi, ur cyst sounds like it is small. You advise that it is 3.6 cm which is less than 1 & 1/2 inches. This would not make you look "7 mo pregnant". When there is an ovarian cyst, you and your doc must consider the following: is it simple or complex? Is there any solid component? Ur age and menopause status. For the cyst a minimum eval is a follow up US (6 wks). For the rest, u need more evaluat ...Read more

I am diagnosed with a 4cm Haemorrhagic cyst on right ovary and a 2 CM functional cyst on left ovary. I am trying to conceive, can I ovulate?
Most probably yes: Normal Ovulation depends on a well functioning hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian system and not on the presence of "a 4 cm hemorrhagic cyst" (which may be a corpus luteum evidence of recent ovulation) nor of a 2 cm "functional cyst" (which my be preovulatory). Consult a Reproductive Endocrinologist/infertility doctor for ovulation tests and ways to conceive. ...Read more
Hi doctor, please help/suggest, I have a 7.4 CM hemorrhagic/inflammatory mass cyst on right ovary, at time I discover I have more pain than now.?
Are you saying...: ...that you are in more pain now than when it was discovered? That's not surprising, if it is sensitive to hormonal changes. You need to stay in touch with your gynecologist, who may have advised laparascopic removal +/- biopsy. 7.4cm is significant - about the size of an average ovary itself, depending on your age. A definitive treatment plan can only be developed once the doc has biopsy results. ...Read more
I have an ovarian cyst on right ovary found in ct of abdomen. Measuring 6.3x5.4x4.9 cm. How large is this and should I be concerned.?
See your Ob/Gyn: A 6.3cm ovarian cyst is the size of a large orange. A cyst that size is an abnormal finding. What is done about it depends on your age, what the cyst looks like on ultrasound, what other ultrasound findings are present (such as fluid in the abdomen) and in some cases on labwork. You need to be seeing an Ob/Gyn about this as they are trained to know what to do next. Best wishes! ...Read more

I have a 5 CM cyst in my right ovary and my ovary measures 5 CM will I need it removed surgically?
I had my right ovary removed and now have a cyst on my left about 2.8 cm that has been there since July. Can/will they remove the cyst?
That's fairly large: And in most cases they would consider removing it if symptomatic. However, they could follow it for a couple of years to see if it is changing and whether you are having symptoms before deciding whether to remove. If they would have to remove the entire ovary and you want children, they would be less likely to want to operate. At any rate, it would be your decision to make. Good luck! ...Read more
My right ovary is enlarged with 26.8 cc's of fluid in it along with a 2.3 CM mildly complex cyst. Is this concerning for ovarian ca?
No: At your age the risk for malignancy is very low. Given you don't have a strong family history of early breast or ovarian cancer. It's common for young women to have ovarian masses that have some complexity to them (a marker for cancer). These are almost always a dermoid, hemorrhagic cyst, endometrioma or another benign ovarian mass. Follow your doc's instructions, but try not to worry. ...Read more

Ask your Gynecologis: Your gynecologist should explain to you what you have and what it means. Most ovarian cysts are benign, yet Cancer of the Ovary often starts as a cystic mass. The only way to tell is to monitor them and look for any changes in the size/appearance of any solid masses in the cyst. You should be alert and be under close monitoring (examinations and Ultrasound) with help from one or more gynecologist/s ...Read more
