Confusing question: The scan itself is not a danger to you or the baby.It does offer the doc some information that can be helpful.Ultrasounds later in pregnancy can help verify normal progress of the baby along with finding the location of the placenta.All are part of good monitoring to assure the best outcome. ...Read more

Increased rest: You are by definition a "high risk" pregnancy because of your age alone. You should avoid straining, squatting, bearing down or any hi impact exercise. Increase time off your feet. Consider shortening your work hours and ask your OB about referral to a "maternal fetal medicine" specialist for further advice.
