I'm 27 weeks pregnant what's kick count mean??

Checking on baby: Between 18 & 25 weeks of pregnancy, sometimes later, most women will begin to feel the baby moving: kicking, rolling, twisting, turning, etc. Counting how long it takes for her to make 10 movements can be used to monitor the baby and potentially identify any problems early. It should take 2 hours or less. Count at the same time of day, when the baby is active. Make sure he is awake when you start ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I am 27 weeks pregnant and i was wondering when about is the normal time for a baby to turn?

It can vary.: Before 36 weeks the baby can change positions quite a bit. After 36 weeks more babies will be found in the head down position but some still change after that time. If your baby isn't head down and you are close to your due date your doctor should discuss this with you. ...Read more

Iam 27 weeks pregnant and i feel my baby everyday but sometimes more sometimes less.So i want to know what is normal at this stage.

Comletely normal: I am not as active one day to the next. Also, depending on how the baby is positioned one day to next, you may feel them a lot one day, and barely notice the next, especially at your stage. As you get another 6 weeks along, then they are big enough that every move is felt, so enjoy these mild reprieves for now. When at your next OB appointment, talk to him/her about fetal movement counts. ...Read more

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I do not feel the baby move consistently and definitely not 10 times an hour like I've read. Is this cause for concern?

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I do not feel the baby move consistently and definitely not 10 times an hour like I've read. Is this cause for concern?

Fetal kick counts: Fetal movement is one of the only ways to determine fetal well-being in between your prenatal visits. Babies move in cycles. They are not active all the time. If you have never felt 10 movements in an hour, that's less worrisome. We worry more when there is a change in movement, a diminishment. As your baby grows, the movements will become more obvious. I recommend kick counts starting at 28 wks. ...Read more

Im 27 weeks pregnant. Why doesn't my fetus move thatmuch? Is that normal

Im 27 weeks pregnant. Why doesn't my fetus move thatmuch? Is that normal

Probably OK - but...: At 27 weeks our concern for fetal well-being is low, because most common pregnancy problems do not arise until after 32 weeks. Having said that, please talk to your obstetrician to determine if a fetal biophysical profile and/or growth/fluid assessment is warranted even at 27 weeks, depending on your risk factors. ...Read more

I am 27 weeks pregnant and I've gained a total of nine pounds during my whole pregnancy. Is this bad?

I am 27 weeks pregnant and I've gained a total of nine pounds during my whole pregnancy. Is this bad?

It depends: Recommended weight gain during pregnancy depends on your pre-pregnant weight, more specifically bmi, a measure of weight and body type. If, for instance, your pre-pregnancy bmi is in the normal range, then the recommended weight gain at 27 weeks would be about 15 lbs, but if your bmi is in the very overweight range then a total weight gain for the entire pregnancy might be only 5-10 lbs. ...Read more

27 weeks pregnant. Spent the day cleaning now today im having pain in lower left abd when I move goes away with rest?

Not unusual: If you did quite a bit of bending over during the cleaning process, your symptom is not out of the ordinary especially since rest makes you feel better. If you start spotting, that's maybe concerning. Be sure to hydrate yourself. Good health. ...Read more
