27 Weeks Pregnant
Checking on baby: Between 18 & 25 weeks of pregnancy, sometimes later, most women will begin to feel the baby moving: kicking, rolling, twisting, turning, etc. Counting how long it takes for her to make 10 movements can be used to monitor the baby and potentially identify any problems early. It should take 2 hours or less. Count at the same time of day, when the baby is active. Make sure he is awake when you start ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Iam 27 weeks pregnant and i feel my baby everyday but sometimes more sometimes less.So i want to know what is normal at this stage.
Comletely normal: I am not as active one day to the next. As you get another 6 weeks along, then they are big enough that every move is felt, so enjoy these mild reprieves for now. When at your next OB appointment, talk to him/her about fetal movement counts. ...Read more
I am 27 weeks pregnant. I do not feel the baby move consistently and definitely not 10 times an hour like I've read. Is this cause for concern?

I recommend kick counts starting at 28 wks. ...Read more

I am 27 weeks pregnant and I've gained a total of nine pounds during my whole pregnancy. Is this bad?
It depends: Recommended weight gain during pregnancy depends on your pre-pregnant weight, more specifically bmi, a measure of weight and body type. If, for instance, your pre-pregnancy bmi is in the normal range, then the recommended weight gain at 27 weeks would be about 15 lbs, but if your bmi is in the very overweight range then a total weight gain for the entire pregnancy might be only 5-10 lbs. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
