25 Weeks Pregnant With A Cold
IM 25 weeks pregnant and have had a severe cold / cough this week. Bloody nose the past 3 days , mucus is a very dark green. Today my phlegm had blood?
See a doctor: With these sorts of symptoms, you need answers. I would worry that your platelet count might have dropped as a result of the viral infection - allowing the blood to become thinner, such that you'd have nose bleeding and blood in the sputum. Hopefully you're plugged into an Ob/Gyn practice - I would call them and try to get seen today. If it's after hours and you're not doing well- go to the ER. ...Read more

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
I crave alot of milk while im pregnant in my 2nd trimester so i have 3 mugs of cold milk a day every day. Is this too much?
Depends on mug size: Using mugs no bigger than 12 ounces, and buying only skim milk (to avoid eating too much animal fat), should make it ok to drink 3 mugs a day. If one's weight gain is too high, or if one must control her diet due to high blood sugars, then one has to discuss her entire diet (milk and all) with her doctor or nutritionist. ...Read more

I am 25 weeks pregnant. I have not had the measle vaccine. I am on my second cold, possible sinus infection during 2nd trimester. Ive never been this sick before is it because I didnt get that shot?
Back pain: It could just be back pain, but other problems may be present. It could be an early urinary tract infection or preterm labor. If it resolves with some tylenol (acetaminophen) and a heating pad or warm shower its more likely just back ache. If unsure call your OB doc/provider. Even on weekends someone is usually on call. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

GERD?: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd) may complicate pregnancy and present with symptoms similar to morning sickness. May be preterm labor: If getting rhythmic cramping or regular contractions, it may be preterm labor. One can be checked by her Ob-Gyn doctor. I am 25 weeks pregnant with complete previa. My ob delivers at a level 2 nicu hopital but there is a level 3 20 minutes away. Should i stay with her?
Reflux: I'm assuming you mean heartburn by upset. In that case over the counter antacids like mylanta or maalox are fine. In addition Pepcid (famotidine) and ranitidine are excellent safe acid blockers (their generics are fine). However, i don't recommend tagamet. If its nausea, try emetrol and a bland diet. If things persist call your OB doc for a prescription medication. ...Read more
