If your back pain: Is increasing and you are not getting better i would recommend visiting a spine doc or pain doc to see what else can be done. Chronic pain med use is often worse than the back problem itself. Treatments can include therapy, steroids, cortisone injections, bracing and surgery. Virus Shmirus!: That's one Hell of a virus! It could be--but 5 weeks is a bit much,unless the virus has left its mark somehow.At your age I'd suggest seeing a neurologist at this point, just to make sure it isn't one of a number of things that can act like this.If he clears you,& after you've celebrated at the pub and slept it off,I might try a second opinion with an internist.In the meantime be careful driving! ...Read more
