Twins pregancy at 22 weeks with cervix lenght of 2.2 cm and U Shape. What are the odd of miscarriage before 34 weeks and advises?

Odds are hard to get: Twin pregnancies always carry a risk of preterm labor and premature delivery which has been very difficult to estimate despite research on cervical length, uterine contraction monitoring, measurements of cervical f-fibronectin etc... Studies on prophylactic measures like bed rest, cervical cerclage, progesterone supplementation are also controversial. Consult a MFM doctor, specialist in twins. ...Read more

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Can fibroids outside the uterus cause miscarriage in the first few weeks of pregnancy?

I'm 38 weeks pregnant but the fetus head measures at 33weeks and fetus stomach measures 37weeks and 5days as of jan 14 what's does this mean?

I'm 38 weeks pregnant but the fetus head measures at 33weeks and fetus stomach measures 37weeks and 5days as of jan 14 what's does this mean?

Probably normal.: The fetal head measurements are notoriously inaccurate near your due date, as the baby's head is engaged in your pelvis and appears smaller than it actually is. The abdominal circumference is normal, so i would expect normal growth. Relax, follow your obstetrician's advice, keep all your prenatal care appointments and best of luck for a smooth delivery soon! ...Read more

Pregnant 33 weeks , peeing all the time and pelvic soreness. Contractions on and off?

See doctor timely...: Glad you have come this far for current pregnancy. Is this your first or recurrent one? For peeing all the time alone, it is good idea to be checked so to assure no UTI. If having similar symptoms in prior pregnancy, you got ideas what these could be. So, it is reasonable to go to see your ob-gyn doctor for confirmation & counseling timely. Best wish to your pregnancy and health... ...Read more

16 weeks pregnant with blood clot at anterior wall of uterus had bleeding thrice. Now on progesterone 200mg twice for 15 days. What are the risks&solution?

I've large fibroids -22 weeks pregnant look like for 1 yr now, what's happening to my body? Can it cause damage to my uterus , kidneys /organs ?Gyn's

Kidneys: Large fibroids are usually just uncomfortable because the uterus presses on the bowels & bladder. This won't usually cause any damage but can contribute to constipation & frequent urination. Very large fibroids can cause kidney damage by blocking the flow of urine in the ureters. The ureters carry the urine from the kidneys to the bladder. If the urine backs up into the kidney it can cause damage. ...Read more

How does your uterus shift when you are pregnant?

How does your uterus shift when you are pregnant?

Up, Out and Right!: In general, the uterus "grows" out of the pelvis by the start of the second trimester (14 weeks). Additionally, with ascent from the pelvis, the uterus usually undergoes rotation with tilting to the right (dextro-rotation), probably due to presence of the rectosigmoid colon on the left side. This adds to the symptoms of "soreness" at each side of the uterus called "round ligament" pain. This is qu. ...Read more
