22 Weeks Pregnant And Stretching Of The Uterus
Twins pregancy at 22 weeks with cervix lenght of 2.2 cm and U Shape. What are the odd of miscarriage before 34 weeks and advises?
Odds are hard to get: Twin pregnancies always carry a risk of preterm labor and premature delivery which has been very difficult to estimate despite research on cervical length, uterine contraction monitoring, measurements of cervical f-fibronectin etc... Studies on prophylactic measures like bed rest, cervical cerclage, progesterone supplementation are also controversial. Consult a MFM doctor, specialist in twins. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
25th week of first pregnancy and feeling baby kicks only in the pelvic/ pubic hairline region and sometimes in cervix/vagina. Not low lying placenta.
Baby kicks: Pregnant women will sense the fetal movements in a variety of ways. There is not a correct place to feel movement or an incorrect place. You will feel kicks and movements usually whereever the feet, elbows and arms are located inside of your uterus. The placental location does not change that. ...Read more

6weeks pregnant Diagnosed with threatened miscarriage because of cramping and back pain baby has heartbeat what are the chances of healthy pregnancy?
I'm 38 weeks pregnant but the fetus head measures at 33weeks and fetus stomach measures 37weeks and 5days as of jan 14 what's does this mean?
Probably normal.: The fetal head measurements are notoriously inaccurate near your due date, as the baby's head is engaged in your pelvis and appears smaller than it actually is. The abdominal circumference is normal, so i would expect normal growth. Relax, follow your obstetrician's advice, keep all your prenatal care appointments and best of luck for a smooth delivery soon! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Cervix is somewhat high and medium soft and closed 22 days after abortion of 9 week pregnancy. Is this normal??
Does the fetus double in size after 6 weeks of pregnancy, causing the u/s to be off my two weeks? Anytime after 6 weeks of pregnancy?
Yes and no: Here is a link to a chart of the crown rump length averages: http://www.Babycenter.Com/average-fetal-length-weight-chart as you can see, the crl can double about every 2 weeks. But this doesn't mean the u/s measurement can be off by 2 weeks. The error of the u/s measurement depends on when the u/s is done. Earlier has less error +/-3 days while end of pregnancy error can be very large +/- 2w. ...Read more

16 weeks pregnant with blood clot at anterior wall of uterus had bleeding thrice. Now on progesterone 200mg twice for 15 days. What are the risks&solution?
Subchorionic bleed: Sounds like you have a subchorionic or subamniotic hematoma. Most of these will resolve over time. If you are a smoker, have other chronic health issues, it could get larger and cause a placental abrution. Mostly it requires close follow up and i would avoid intercourse until it resolves. ...Read more

I've large fibroids -22 weeks pregnant look like for 1 yr now, what's happening to my body? Can it cause damage to my uterus , kidneys /organs ?Gyn's
Kidneys: Large fibroids are usually just uncomfortable because the uterus presses on the bowels & bladder. This won't usually cause any damage but can contribute to constipation & frequent urination. Very large fibroids can cause kidney damage by blocking the flow of urine in the ureters. The ureters carry the urine from the kidneys to the bladder. If the urine backs up into the kidney it can cause damage. ...Read more

Is 1.5cm dilation at 22 weeks pregnancy is Cervical incompetency? usually heard that cervical dilation at 20-50mm is incompetent.
what is true?
Controversial topic: Premature cervical changes(dilatation, shortening, funneling,softening...) are difficult to measure and to interpret.Sonographic or clinical exams of your cervix are very variable, very subjective, not accurate nor reliable predictors of premature labor or preterm delivery. Consult a knowledgeable MFM doctor regarding accepted criteria for "cervical insufficiency". Your risks at 22wks.seem small. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See specialist: Consider seeing an MFM (maternal fetal medicine) specialist. They can take more detailed look via ultrasound and make recommendations if they think you are at risk for preterm labor. After delivery and postpartum period, consider a hysterosalpingogram (x-ray study of uterus and tubes) or MRI. Your reproductive specialist can schedule these. Up, Out and Right!: In general, the uterus "grows" out of the pelvis by the start of the second trimester (14 weeks).
