21 Day Cleanse
I had gastric bypass 2.5 yrs ago. Im currently doing the standard process 21 day cleanse. Im on day 7. I feel weak & tired. Is this cleanse safe 4 me?
No cleanse: There is no "standard" cleanse of any type, let alone one that lasts 21 days. If it makes you feel weak and tired, it is probably doing you more harm than good. I would stop it, and maintain good hydration, don't eat too many calories, make sure the food that you do eat had all the vitamins and minerals, and take vitamin supplements as appropriate after a gastric bypass. ...Read more
Yes: "toxins" is a word that is overused. Pesticides, mercury, lead, antibiotics, etc can all be taken in in the diet and are difficult to remove. Best to not take them in. Then there are the imaginary toxins that companies scare you with so you will buy their expensive detox product -- these are fake. Dont buy it! eat healthy, stay hydrated. Avoid constipation and your body will do the rest. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Predicting Death: I am not sure why you brought this to us. If you fear that your health will be harmed by this plan then do not go through with it. You cannot expect medical professionals to in any way SUPPORT this dangerous and unnecessary 'fast'. Your body already has organs and systems in it that 'cleanse' the body. These are the liver, the kidneys and the lymph system. You do not need anything more. ...Read more
I am a 16 year old female. I am going to do a 10 day totalbody cleanse. I think i need it because i don't feel up to par.Is doing this okay?
If i take do a 7 or 10 day total body cleanse from gnc, will that take THC out of my system for good? I lapsed and want it out of my system, forever.
Not necessarily: Thc is stored in fat, and can remain detectable for varying amounts of time depending on frequency of use. The only way to get it out of your system for good, forever, is to stop using marijuana/thc forever. Marijuana anonymous can help. http://www.marijuana-anonymous.org/. ...Read more

I am taking a 7-Day ultimate cleanse by Nature's Secret, will this lower the effectiveness of my birthcontrol?
Likely it will not: 7 day ultimate cleanse will not effect your birth control pills. But if you are experiencing constipation and using 7-day ultimate cleanse for that purpose, I would advise a cheaper alternative. You start with drinking more water, and increasing your fiber content such as vegetables or high fiber cereals like Fiber One.Exercise is also an important factor that works in conjunction with water & fiber ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Will a Premium Detox 7 day program help in cleansing THC out of my system? Have I been duped and should i stop taking it? Any tips to express detox?
Nothing binds THC: THC gets out of the body on its own pharmacokinetics and cannot be "cleansed", "bound" or "premium" chased out....I won't say you've been duped.....let's just say you've learned an important life lesson, right? Do your homework before opening your home, your wallet, or your emotions to someone who claims to give you something extraordinary. that nobody around you has ever heard of ...Read more
Why?: I don't know. The bigger question is why you are doing a "10 day enzymatic body cleanse." it sounds like a waste of time and money. ...Read more

I was on the Advocare 24 day cleanse and apparently conceived mid cleanse, unknowingly. Have I risked my baby's development?!
Not likely but...: Not likely, but I have had two patients who did the Advocare cleanse and experienced an increase in liver enzymes on blood testing. An increase in those enzymes is a strong indication that their livers were stressed while doing the cleanse. I do not recommend it. ...Read more
I'm doing the advocare 10 day cleanse for 4 days now & the whole time I've felt nauseas & headaches that won't go away. Should I stop the cleanse?
No "cleansing" need: Normal human's have self-clearing (like self-cleaning) intestinal tracts. After a person eats, the food is processed and moved along from the stomach all the way to her anus, without any help or interference from him. If a person is eating a healthy, balanced diet, no colon cleansing is needed. Such cleansing is unnatural. But, it is ok to occasionally use laxative help to get rid of constipation. ...Read more
I have hypothyroidism and i take levathyroxin would it be safe to do the advicare 24 day challenge and cleanse? Would they cleanse effect the med?
Worthless: Make sure you're taking brand name T4 and your levels are normal. Forget the "challenge and cleanse" -- it's internet garbage and won't help you in any way. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv and the internet. You don't actually believe any of that crap do you? ...Read more
Just got done with a 10 day detox cleanse. Is it normal to have pain in the right abdomen afterwards. I finished a day ago and how to help the pain?
Better idea: Spend fourteen days really exerting yourself and rediscovering the joy of exercise and fitness. These cleanses are scams. Your body and your internal organs clean themselves naturally. Anyone telling you to drink something weird or do something off-the-wall is at best deceived and at worst playing a cruel prank on you -- some of the "health cleanses" on the internet can land you in the ICU. ...Read more
