200 Grams Of Carbs A Day
Is 150-175 grams of carbs a day consider extreme that it would effect my t3 (liothyronine) level? Results 46 in range of 76-115
Thyroid/Carbohydrate: Carbohydrates should have no effect on your thyroid levels.
CARBS/ SUGARS: Depends on amount of energy required /day by work done by body. Your body is a well oiled machine- if you are a marathon training individual- these carbs are useful for fuel. If you are desk jockey- then not as much- a sanitary life style require less carb intake.
I am an endomporph is 50 to 100 grams of carbs per day enough to give me energy for my boxing workouts?
Only If...: You eat the majority of those carbs about 45 min-1 hour prior to your workout. Even still, you will be very tired at the end of the workout. If you are an endomorph, why do you restrict your carb intake to such low levels, are you trying to make weight or something? If not, increase them, until you feel like you have enough energy to be at your full potential while performing your workout.
If been over weight all of my life. Just started eating low carbs, trying to keep my carbs under 60 grams a day with one cheat day a week. Healthy?
Healthy diet: Eat a healthy well-balanced diet, 3 meals without snacks. Caloric restriction if you need to lose weight. There's no magic here. Find an eating plan you can follow the rest of your life, not a short-term diet. Check w/your registered dietitian. Don't try to overly restrict or supplement fat, carbohydrate or protein. Eat each in a sane and balanced amount.See 1 more doctor answer
Less: You will find the fewer carbs a day, the less Insulin you require. What matters more is that you are using enough Insulin to maintain very good control of sugars. You should also be consistent with carbs. Be realistic, don't eat nothing and be miserable, but it is also dangerous to eat too much then too little carbs which causes high highs and low lows. Try to eat consistent amount.See 1 more doctor answer
How many carbs grams are you eating a day if you are pre-diabetic, diabetic, or trying to lose weight?
Depends on type: A low carb diet might have 5-10% of calories as carbs. I am not big of counting calories but the biggest problem I have with your question is not all carbs are created equal- mimimize sugars/starches/simple carbs but complex carbs in veggies, beans, nuts and low-glycemic fruits do not need to be avoided. If there is 4 calories in 1 gram of carb then dose that mean if I eat 100g of carbs a day I need to burn 400 calories before I start burning fat?
No, life is not...: The answer is no. Life is not black and white, but rather an infinite number of shades of grey (or gray). See, even the spelling of grey (or gray) is not in black and white. Life's biological processes are all happening at the same time, so carbs / proteins / fats are all being metabolized in the body while a person is alive, but the rates or amounts of each type of "fuel" metabolism differ.
I am a boxer and weigh 76 kg I am trying to lose weight so I am only having 100 grams of carbs per day is this enough carbs for my boxing workouts?
Taking a bit of carbs about 50 or 60 grams a day can cause u to slow down weight loss? And is it good to loose about 1 kg in 6 days? Is it good speed
Actually, 50 to 60: Grams of carbs daily is already pretty low. The problem with going too low on carbs is it makes a diet really hard to stick to and you can feel fatigued/brain fog with too few calories and carbs. A good formula is: calories=12X body weight in lbs; protein=1 gm/lb; carbs=0.9-1.25 gm/lb; fat=the remainder of calories. 1 kg/2 lbs per week is a little fast. Best to go at pace you can maintain!!
How many grams of carbs should a female who's 19 and 5'5 and calorie intake should be is 1500. Consume in a day? I usually get between 40-70g please help
Probably more: There are so many diets out there today. Low carb, no carb, low fat, high fat, on and on. 50 grams of carbs is only 200 calories, so you are leaving 1300 cal for protein and fat. I think that is excessive. I tell my patients a balanced dies with lean protein and lower glycemic carbs like brown rice, sweet potatoes and quinoa. Fat - mono saturated like olive or nut oils at about 20-25% of cals.
I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance. How many grams of carbs should I eat per day? I'm 18, 5'5 (1.66 m) and 112 lbs (51 kg)
Diabetic numbers: Anyone with relative or severe insulin resistance should try to limit carb intake to 3-5 'servings' of carbohydrate, or 3-5 15g servings of carbs per meal, 3 times a day, with a late night snack of 3servins of carb before bedtime. This is a standard restriction given type 2 diabetics with moderate insulin resistance
