Possibilities: It sounds like this could be ringworm- usually this happens in perineum or areas where skin rubs against skin, and can be more diffuse. Another thought is impetigo, another rash that can spread among people in close contact. Best for your md to see. ...Read more

2yr old girl has raised, on itchy, bumpy rash that is skintone color all over her body. She had a fever few days proir. Developed rash two days ago. ?

Need to see the rash: Rashes have different appearances and having a fever 2 days ago make it more likely to be infectious as a cause. I would suggest a consult and I can look at the rash and give you a possible diagnosis. If it is skin tone colored, it might be scarlet fever, and that would entail antibiotics, but it is hard to know without seeing the rash. ...Read more

My 10 yr old daughter has a rash that looks like dry skin with blisters or flea bites. She says it has been there for months back right knee/calf.

Could Be, but..: To help you i would need a few more clues. Right now i would say it could be a lot of things. As a general rule if its dry its okay to put hydrocortisone, but if it looks damp lotrimin (clotrimazole) to start. Could be eczema, could be tinea and the treatments for either could make the other worse. I would suggest a visit to your pcp, or a dermatologist. ...Read more

Rash in a child: Rash, fever, and diarrhea is a pretty common group of symptoms that can be caused by a viral infection. If the child is not very sick, then it is best to wait to see whether everything goes away in time. Virus infections, like the common cold or the flu, are self limited but can last for many weeks. If the child seems to be very ill, then go to the pediatrician. ...Read more

Sec infection?: Well there are two things that can go wrong with eczema- it can flare up. For that you need to look at the triggers and treat with steroid ointment.
