I got three dissolvable stitches in my upper lip two days ago. My 3 year old son just head butted me and one the stitches is loose. What do I do?
Head butt: Ok, take a look at the wound. Are the edges of skin touching each other? Is there a space large enough to slip a dime into? One loose stitch is no problem as long as the wound looks ok and you're not seeing a gap in the skin. If there is any question, we are happy to look at it in a Prime visit with photos! Sorry about the head butt! Those hurt! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Three yrs: rule of 3: Three is a fun age! most 3 year olds can do a lot of "three" things: 3 word sentences, 3-4 phrase conversations, follow (when they feel like it!) 2-3 step instructions, and can ride a 3-wheeler (trike). Three year olds have short (think 3 minute!) attention spans. For some really nice information about child development, check the cdc site (cdc.Gov) or the aap parent site, healthychildren.Org. ...Read more

My 3 year old son refuses to eat most the time he drinks a lot of milk anywhere from 2/6 cups a day easily drinking a gallon in two days is this bad?
Yes, it's bad: That is not an appropriate diet for a 3year old. He is not getting many of his required nutrients, vitamins and minerals with that much milk. First, solve milk problem. Once he's not getting his calories from milk, his appetite will improve. No more than 16 ounces a day - period. I don't care how much he carries on. You need to be his parent here, not his friend. The rest of beverage is water only ...Read more

3 year old, cannot wind down, screams often, major tantrums, hits, bites, can't be still or stay on one task. Terrible twos or something more?
In my experience....: ...."terrible twos" last from about age one and a half to about age three and a half. It could be that you have a very active, somewhat difficult 3 year old, or there could be something more. To find out for sure, the best thing would be to bring your concerns to a pediatrician. S/he can do an evaluation and then give you appropriate advice. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
My 3 year old son been having big lumps to come in his head and turn into sores and when i press down on them he said it hurts. He have three. Please ?
Absolutely: Depending on the level of fracture, the teeth can almost certainly be fixed. It will be important for him to be evaluated properly by a dentist first, however. A periapical x-ray (one that shows the roots) will aid, critically, in determining the extent of the damage. But take heart, these are, after all, his baby teeth. He may just meet the tooth fairy sooner than planned! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
