Is it ok if 2 month old baby is on 100 % on nan pro 1 or should we force the baby on breastfeeding?

Is it ok if 2 month old baby is on 100 % on nan pro 1 or should we force the baby on breastfeeding?

Depends on Values: There are various health benefits for exclusively breastfeeding your child but there are many parents that decide to use formula instead. Ultimately you have to decide whats right for you and your baby. While breastfeeding is preferred, your baby will do fine on formula feeding if that is what you decide. It has all the essential vitamins and nutrients a growing infant needs. ...Read more

Can I drink hibiscus tea while breastfeeding my almost 2 month old baby??

Can I drink hibiscus tea while breastfeeding my almost 2 month old baby??

Stay away: A lot of herbal tea ingredients aren't recommended due to unknown effects. I'm sure the occasional bit of tea isn't any harm at all but I wouldn't drink them constantly without confirmation from your pediatrician and just stick to straight black or green tea. Hibiscus is on the list because, I believe, it can influence estrogen. ...Read more

Hi when i get up i feel very dizzy and unable to stand up for some time because i'm so dizzy.Im 37 and breastfeeding a 2 month old baby ?

Orthostatic hypoteni: Orthostatic hypotension means--- lowering of BP with postural change and hence dizziness. Seems like you need to increase your salt and water intake. Since you are breast feeding, your daily main entrance requirements are higher that nirmal healthy female of your age. Try taking in 3, l (per day ) of liquids in the form of chicken broth, milk, lemonade etc. ...Read more

Is it normal for baby to gain more than 1 kg per month with breastfeeding? Or To be above 6 kg for 2 month old baby, (birth weight 3670 gr)

Is it normal for baby to gain more than 1 kg per month with breastfeeding? Or To be above 6 kg for 2 month old baby, (birth weight 3670 gr)

Healthy wt gain.: Ideally, an infant should gain a minimum of 200 grms or about 7 oz a week, but weight gain more than that is common, especially with breast feeding but can also be seen with formula feeding. An infant with BW 3.67 kg would be expected to be more vigorous with feeding and you are providing ample nourishment. Weight gain will often slow down after 9 months, so current weight over 6 kg is ok. ...Read more

My 2 month old baby has suddenly stop taking breastfeeding. But he is having formula.Whenever i try to give him breast feed he starts crying. ?

Keep trying: To have the formula from a bottle is easier for a baby because of the nipple opening is wider. It's much harder for them to get a milk from the breast. Keep on trying to breastfeed prior to the supplement infant with a formula. Be patient. ...Read more

I stopped breastfeeding for my 19 month old baby. Aftr 1 week its got normal..then two breast are itching .

Still going strong: Check your breast for any sign of yeast infection to cause itching around nipples, or mastitis with which you may have redness or tenderness also. Since after stopping breast feeding, your internal clock still needs a little time to send the signal to stop producing milk, you can expect to feel unease for a while. ...Read more

Breastfeeding: at 2 months of age, breastfed babies typically still eat 8-10 times per day. Sometimes they will want to feed more often. If you have your baby's 2 month appointment coming up, that is a great time to go over feeding and schedules. Good luck! Keep breastfeeding! It's best for the baby! ...Read more

Hi, breastfeeding my 1 month old baby vomits large amount of curdled milk once in two days comes out by his nose too.Can I use domstal or benadon?

No, would not use.: Those medications would not be recommended for a 1 month old baby. You should see your baby's doctor to make sure there is not a structural intestinal problem. You should also make sure that your baby is gaining weight well when you go. If your nipples are cracked and If your baby is swallowing blood from that, that could make him vomit. ...Read more

I have a 1 month old baby she has not poop in two days. Im breastfeeding by the way. Is it normal or what should I do?

Normal: Because breastmilk is such a nutritious substance, sometimes almost all of it is absorbed, leaving little to move through the digestive tract. Stools may be infrequent -- perfectly normal breastfed infants may only have a bowel movement once a week. ...Read more

At night times my 12 weeks old infant will not wake up to breast feed, 5 hours gap ll b there for last breastfeed. Any problem to baby's nutition?

Not if baby is fine: We (doctors, moms, dads, neighbors, etc.) all want babies to sleep through the night by the time they are 3 months old. Parents with babies who sleep through the night are lucky parents. As long as a baby is growing fine on his measurements at the check-ups, and is healthy, parents don't need to wake up a sleeping baby at night. ...Read more

Is it ok if my 2 month old baby is on 100 nan pro 1 or do we need to Breastfeed her.

Is it ok if my 2 month old baby is on 100 nan pro 1 or do we need to Breastfeed her.

BF is best, but: formula is a very safe and good alternative and 100 nan pro 1 is appropriate for a 2 month old infant. Infection, especially diarrhea illness, is reduced in infants who are breast fed, and bf may reduce other illness as well. Not all mothers are successful with breast feeding or have other health reasons to stop bf. Cost and safe water are considerations. Intake at 2 months is 800-1000 ml/day ...Read more

I'm a new mom of a 2 month old and I'm also breastfeeding the baby. My right boob is very painful and tender to the touch. Even after I feed her. ?

1st congratulations: You could just have an engorged breast. You could have a block in the canals which lead the milk to your nipple. That can be treated with a warm compress. A more serious cause could be that you have a mastitis (a breast infection). You should be seen by your doc for that and take an antibiotic if that is the reason. ...Read more

My 3 1/2 month old breast feed baby is not pooping for 4 days now, but seems ok. I'm worried about what's causing it?

Don't worry: Some babies poop 5-6 times daily at this age, others poop once every 7-10 days. Both, and everything in between is normal. Provided they are eating well, not vomiting consistently, not developing a distended abdomen, urinating 5-6 times daily, otherwise acting normally, and the stool is not hard....This is nothing to worry about. If unsure, ask your pediatrician. ...Read more
