19 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound
An ultraound, also known as a sonogram, is a painless and relatively inexpensive imaging test that utilizes sound waves instead of ionizing radiation. There are no side effects. Ultrasound can give us two-dimensional, and in some applications three-dimensional, images of structures and organs in virtually any part of the body. In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more
When are prenatal ultrasounds most accurate for estimating conception? 6 weeks or 10 weeks or 19 weeks?
I vote for: 10 weeks: Usually, prenatal ultrasound scans done while 8-11 weeks pregnant give accurate dating estimates. All dates are estimates, but that doesn't matter much in most cases (an estimate is close enough). If one's cycles are long (more than 31 days) or short (less than 25 days), be sure that is taken into account when making the estimates. ...Read more
Cuantitative hCG <5 (negative) 19 days after sex, and 4 days later my endometrium was 6mm thick (transvaginal ultrasono), can I still be pregnant?
Transvaginal ultrasound on 9/19/13 dated pregnancy at 8w3d. 4/28/14 due date. Next ultrasound 12/13/13 dated 20w4d. Possible dates of conception?
Lmp12/23-27 dd 9/19 conception cannot b 12/26 while on my period if i'm 27 weeks 2 days could I have conceived 2 weeks before my lmp?
Without looking at..: Without looking at the dates, the usual thing that happens is a woman either gets pregnant 2 weeks before her period starts, or 2 weeks after her period starts (as most cycles are 4 weeks, with ovulation at mid-cycle). If an ultrasound dating scan gave a gestational age estimate, it is very unlikely that the estimate could be 4 weeks off. "conceived 2 wks before my lmp" would mean a 4 week error. ...Read more

Ultrasound measured foetus as 6 weeks 2 days one full week after measuring 5 weeks 6 days (just sac). Heart rate 126 i think miscarriage is likely?
Not necessarily: The fetus is now off by 4 days and the accuracy of us is about 4 days. Since the other measurement was the sac and this is the fetus, the different measurement may examine it all. The sac and the fetus do not always match exactly. The heart rate is normal so likely all is well. In any event, the next scan will be very helpful. Stay positive as these results to not suggest imminent miscarriage. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am 6 weeks pregnant according to my LMP edd but ultrasound scan shows only 3 weeks. Is it normal?
GOw/ultrasound but..: At this early stage of pregnancy the ultra-sound is very accurate at predicting due date (edc) +/- 5-7 days . However '3 weeks pregnancy' is still too early to tell much so i would recommend another ultrasound in 3 weeks (@ 6 weeks to document fetal heart tones). The edc needs to be confirmed. Congrats! and good luck. ...Read more

Missed miscarriage I am supposed to be 19 weeks pregnant as of saturday my last period was november 19th i had an ultra sound at 7 weeks and 2 days everything was fine and measuring correctly at 17 weeks they listened to my baby's heart beat with the dopp
I : I am sorry that you are going through this stressful experience. Fetal heart beat can usually be heard at 9 weeks in thinner women, and later in heavier women with a doppler (fetal heart monitor), however it can be seen much earlier, up to 6 weeks or sometimes even before, with an ultrasound. An ultrasound is much more accurate at both looking at the baby and measuring the heart rate than just the doppler. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
