19 Days After Conception
I had a calculated insemination on September 12th.19 days after conception (October 1st) I had an HGC of 172. Is this in the normal range?
Why does clearblue easy pregnant tests say their tests turn positive 19 days after conception? Wouldn't it be positive much sooner? (more like 6-10 days)
In between: The home pregnancy test should be positive about 14 days after conception, perhaps a few days earlier. A pregnancy does not implant until 6 days after conception, then it takes time for levels to be high enough to be seen in the blood. Then another couple of days more are needed until it is high enough to spill into the urine. ...Read more
Can you get implantation bleeding 19 days after conception? I had a small red speck of blood. Please help
Yes...: Implantation bleeding occurs 10 - 14 days after conception and is relatively common. It is thought to happen when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus, usually around the time you would expect to have a menstrual period. Given the difficulty in knowing exactly when conception occurs, I would say that your day 19 is feasible, so yes. Not time to worry. Congratulations! ...Read more

Sex on time: Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to four days. Therefore, a couple trying to make a baby should start having sex four days prior to ovulation. The debate is whether to have sex every day or every other day. I believe the best answer to this is every day if possible, every other day is probably just as good. You should continue having sex for up until a few days after ovulation. Good luck! ...Read more
When you ovulate: If you ovulate which you can get a test at any pharmacy, it is supposed to be 14 days beofre your period, so teh first day of your period is day 1, so if your periods are every 28 days, it would be 28-14=day 14 when u ovulate, if periods are every 35 days would be 35-14=day21, the egg can live up to 48 hrs and the sperm if normal up to 72 hrs so u do not have to have intercourse the exact day. ...Read more

Yes, late period:
No one knows exactly how common miscarriage is because most miscarriages occur within the first week and usually the only symptom might be a period that is a few days late. There is debate whether to call these "miscarriages" but they are conceptions that don't lead to birth and may occur more often than not! See

How accurate are early US? I measured 6w 1d on 8/22. how likely is it that the date of conception occured later then 7/24 (+/- the 7 days)?
Accurate in a range: Ultrasound pregnancy dating gives a date and a range. The date is an estimate. That means the date is not a single point in time. So, when an ultrasound scan gives a date of 7/24 as the estimated conception date, it actually means it is quite likely to have happened a little before 7/24 or a little after 7/24. This all means a person shouldn't think too much about exactness. ...Read more

About a week: Fertilization occurs in the fallopian tube generally within the first 24 hours after ovulation. The fertilized egg will take about 3 days to travel to the uterus. Spotting sometimes occurs with implantation. ...Read more
1-2 days.: The egg lives for 1-2 days after release during ovulation, so conception must occur during that period. Remember that the sperm can live up to 5 days in the female genital tract, so intercourse before ovulation can also result in conception (-5 to +2 days from ovulation date is your fertile week each cycle - of course ovulation can vary in timing, which is why ovulation prediction kits help). ...Read more
