13 Days Post Embryo Transfer
Hi my first hCG level done and came back 200. I had my second test done today 364 should I worry? It's 13 dys after embryo transfer.
Depends: The time interval between the blood test is important. I am unable to counsel without that information. Eitherway, you should continue to follow up with your infertility doctor as scheduled.
Embryo transfer (also et, set. Fet, etc) refers to placing one or more human embryo (s) (multi-cell or blastocyst) into the uterus of a woman trying to become pregnant. Et is the final step in an ivf cycle, and is done in some other circumstances as well. It is extremely safe, mostly comfortable, and usually not technically difficult. Experts agree on its importance, but ...Read more
Hello, I had my first IVF embryo transfer (from donor) I'm over 40.Day 13 Post Embryo Transfer. 2 embryos were transfered. My Quanitative HCG was <1?
Not pregnant: Rather unfortunate, hopefully things work out down the road. Best Wishes
I am on my 14th day post embryo transfer. My hcg is 35 and my progesterone is 13. And I am bleeding a lil bit today. Is this normal?
Congratulations: Don't know if a day 3 or day 5 transfer was made but a single bHCG is not predictive, so you need a second to see the direction of the change. 35 says you are pregnant! Your progesterone should be higher though. I would recommend you call your doctor immediately to report the bleeding and get a status report. Good luck.
Should be none: Generally there should be little to no symptoms after an embryo transfer. Some women, if the transfer was done on day 5 (at the blastocyst stage), may experience implantation bleeding, spotting and/or mild cramping several days after et if pregnancy occurred. If you do not have these symptoms, it does not mean you are not pregnant. Good luck.
Very common: I can't guarantee its normal, but its extremely common. Good luck!
Sushi: Sure you can eat sushi. Just stick to the pieces with cooked fish.
Possibly: Bleeding post transfer can be caused by a friable, or cervix that's bleed easy, a small bleed behind the gestational sac, following intercourse, the loss of a twin and/or signs of an early miscarriage or a difficult et. If you have any bleeding, contact your doctor immediately. And remember, it may not be a bad sign. Probably would consider starting Progesterone to help quiet the uterus.
Yes: Contrary to what many people believe, there is no need for bed rest after embryo transfer. Walking is perfectly fine after the embryo transfer procedure, even if you are spotting/cramping. Though your symptoms don't sound good, it's still possible you are pregnant. Good luck!
Heavy bleeding: Well, yes it is possible. Bleeding is however associated with miscarriage. Get a blood test for pregnancy.
12 days post embryo transfer with mild cramping and light bleeding. Is there still a chance for pregnancy?
Yes: Definately, but please check with your md for current pregnancy status.
I am 4 days post embryo transfer, a few times I have had intense cramps after bowel movement ; is this normal?
Cramps: No it's not. You may be constipated. See if resolving that helps. Congratulations!
I am 5 days post embryo transfer. I am feeling contraction like cramps. I am not bleeding but this tightening in my uterus is making me nervous.
11 days post embryo transfer now having period like bleeding. My clinic says uterus still looks good and is thick, they did a blood test. Preg or no?
Patience...: Patience is a virtue that parents and prospective parents should seek. A urine pregnancy test done correctly will give a reliable result in 10 days (making it unlikely to be a false negative if it is negative). Hopefully, it will be a positive, but there should be no need to give it another thought until then. Instead, sit back and enjoy everything else in life, as we should not rush these things.
Of course: There should be no reason that you can not eat chocolate post an embryo transfer. Enjoy and good luck.
Ten days after embryo transfer and tommy looks bigger than as usual what could be the problem or is all well?
Probably: Bleeding 3 days post transfer can be caused by a friable, or cervix that's bleed easy, a small bleed behind the gestational sac, following intercourse, the loss of a twin and/or signs of an early miscarriage and a difficult et. If you have any bleeding, contact your doctor immediately. And remember, it may not be a bad sign. Probably would consider starting Progesterone to help quiet the uterus.
Several reasons: The bleeding could be due to several different possibilities. It could be your menses coming on, a pregnancy loss, implantation bleeding or even from local irritation from vaginal progesterone supplements. You should follow your clinic's instructions for your medications and blood work, and not be afraid to call them if you have questions or concerns.
