How low is low?: Seems to me that exercising 4-5hr/d is a bit excessive. You only need 30min or so to improve your health. As for low calorie diet, it depends upon how low is low. More importantly, what kind of calories are you consuming? Healthy or junk? Processed or otherwise? What's your goal w/this extreme approach? Discuss your concerns, plans & goals w/your family doc who knows most about you & your health. ...Read more

Triglycerites 350, doc putting me on meds before any diet and exercise plan? Shouldn't we try diet&exercise first?
I just quit smoking. I want to start the hugh jackman "wolverine" diet and exercise plan. Is this plan to extream for someone who doesn't workout?
Yes: Moderation makes more sense. Hugh jackman's diet is >5, 000 calories a day and 2 g of protein per kg of ideal body weight. This is extreme in both regards. Unless you're hugh jackman, i suggest you go for 30-60 minutes of moderate exercise daily and about 2, 000 calories a day (1, 000 to 1200 if you're trying to lose weight) of which about 60-90 grams are protein. ...Read more

Don't smoke and take care of any disease risk factors with your doc. ...Read more
