12 Week Taxol Treatment Side Effects
I'm experiencing a cough side effect on sertraline (50 mg, 4th week of treatment). Is this side effect temporary, should I alter / terminate treatment?
Cough: Are you certain that the cough is related to the sertraline? It is listed as a possible side effect although incredibly rare and even more so that it started 4 weeks after treatment started. I'd discuss with your doctor to rule out any other causes that might be the culprit. Hope that helps! ...Read more
What are side effects of low dose taxol with herceptin every week for 12 weeks i have stage 4 kidney disease and am concerned?
Yes, but...: Has your stage-4 kidney disease occurred before or after Herceptin with low dose of taxol? Herceptin is known to have significant adverse effects on to the kidneys and Taxol is not. So, it is good idea to ask your treating doctor for the specific profile possibly fitting you since s/he knows more about you than anyone online and will monitor your kidney function while receiving Herceptin. Varies: Most people recover nicely of carbo/taxol side effects but long term neuropathy (numbness) can happen. Rarely, kidney damage or marrow damage with persistent low blood counts can be seen. Also, some patients have long term fatigue which can be quite hard to assign to a specific cause and treat. Best to you. ...Read more
Need expert advice. After taking one 50mg pill of anti-depressant how long does the side effects last?
Could u clarify?: Which pill? Which SEs? For instance SSRIs are the most commonly rx'ed antidepressants. These can cause side effects of dizziness, GI upset, and actually increased anxiety, though these pass in about one week. Some side effects that may take longer to resolve, if you continued the med, might be dry moth, or sexual SE. Discuss your SEs straight away with ur doc so a new tx plan exists if needed! :) ...Read more

What SE?: What side effects (from rituximab)? About 25% of people will have an "infusion reaction" on initial dose with possible hives, shortness of breath, shaking, etc. That is usually not a condition that persists after the infusion is completed. Other side effects can come from killing cancer cells quickly such as tumor lysis syndrome, or some more rare long term Rituximab side effects? ...Read more
Most likely.: What side effects do you speak of? Most side effects of Rituximab occur during the infusion itself; I have very few folks complain of anything afterwards except maybe fatigue (that is if they receive Rituximab by itself). Long term side effects of short-term prednisone use? Took 60,60,40,40,20,20,10,10 mg for migraine. Expect any longterm effects?
COMMENTS: A good approach to break up a chronic daily headache pattern. Unlikely to experience any long-term consequences of 8 days of high dose steroids, but if you were to use over several weeks to months, risk rises for osteoporosis, anti-cholinergic effects, glaucoma, cataracts, avascular necrosis of shoulder, hip, or knee, etc. You are at extremely low risk. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Incomplete treatment: Conventional treatment regimens for hcv have many potential side effects. Many of these will reverse once treatment ceases. There is no significant consequence however to prematurely terminating hcv treatment prior to its completion, other than the expectation that viral cure will not be achieved. If you can tough out the side effects and you're showing early treatment response, finish treatment. ...Read more
