11 Month Old Baby Wants To Sleep All Day
My 7 month old baby seems happy and healthy but since he was 2 months old he won't have more than 10min sleep all day i've been to drs but no help?
Sleep: Does he sleep well at night? Does he fall asleep in his own bed alone. If he's sleeping well at night, and just doesn't need a rest during the day except for "cat naps", he may just be a more active baby than some. Put him down for a nap at a regular time and leave the room. Let him settle himself down. If he doesn't sleep, at least you will have a chance to get other things done for a bit. ...Read more
11 month old baby gets up once a night for a bottle. How do I break this habit and get her to sleep through the night?
Gradual reduction: If you begin reducing the volume of the night feed & shift over to water, you will eliminate the "feeding clock" effect that gets baby up for a feed. Within 2 wks you should have a baby that may alert at night but won't be trained to seek a meal & should be able to self settle in the night. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Eggs and Babies: I guess your baby is close to 1 yr by which eggs can be fed safely. Egg whites cause allergy (protein) than yolk which mainly has fats. Add white later. Expect baby to spit egg initially, as they acquire taste ...Read more
A lot: There are several phases of sleep and one of the most important levels for maximum rest and renovation is delta phase. My infant 9 m old head most of the time sweats while sleeping in night.is it normal?what r the possible reasons
Sweaty infant: Many babies are over bundled due to fear of the child getting cold. This can cause overheating and increase the risk of SIDS. Your infant should wear the same amount of clothes as you. Monitor baby carefully for blue and cold fingers and toes. Don't use too many blankets. Here's a good hand-out: http://www.nih.gov/news/health/nov2010/nichd-02.htm (If that doesn't solve it, see your pediatrician). ...Read more

Maybe possible: From my experience, sleep apnea may have some familial tendencies like allergies, eczema, or asthma. But there is no way of telling whether your baby will develop sleep apnea, just because you had it. This is because there could many causes of sleep apnea. Some of them include, enlarged adenoids and tonsils, food reflux, obesity and many more. ...Read more

Good sleep routine: This is possible for almost all little ones, but is more than can be described in 400 characters. Consistency, a regular sleep routine, keeping the home quiet and dark at night, and helping them learn to self-settle are essential. Talk with your pediatrician about the details, but know that it is possible - once you are ready! (the secondary gain from "comforting" your baby at night is powerful.). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Drowsy but awake: Self soothing is a valuable skill that babies learn as newborns, when parents put them down drowsy but awake. When we hold babies until asleep, they associate parent's heartbeat, voice, rocking with sleep. Without those cues they can't fall asleep. Started as newborns, most babies learn to put themselves to sleep in 5-10", older children take longer to learn to self soothe-up to 60". ...Read more

With a tired changer: Most infants sleep, eat, poop and pee because of their very basic needs and underdeveloped nervous system. They have to learn everything. They develope patterns just like adults. To change a pattern you have to do the same thing over and over for 21 days. When you want the baby to sleep don't respond to their requests so quickly let them lay. Wake them up at the time you want them up. ....More. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Back is best: The back to sleep campaign that started in the 90's brought a 40% drop in crib death rates in the us.After initial resistance, most have come to understand it's value. Thankfully, the most vulnerable period has passed when kids can roll and turn over. If you taught the baby to need rocking to get to sleep, they will need it every time. The best sleepers are allowed to self settle starting at birth with minimal parent involvement. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My month old baby is healthy and growing healthy how much should he eat during the day if he is sleeping through night? Should I wake him?
Sleep consolidation: achieved between 1-4 mos. prevents behavioral sleep problems at 6 mos. & older. If he's gaining 2/3 o.-1 oz./ day, put him on his back in his crib in his own room, drowsy, but awake, to self-calm for sleep. It's not too early to set a bedtime, read, rock or cuddle in low light & wipe out his mouth with a soft cloth after his last feed, good habits to establish before 5 mos. when teeth erupt. ...Read more
