100 Mg Of Clomid
How will 100 mg of Clomid impact ovulation versus 50 mg of clomid? My wife is on her 2nd cycle as the 50 mg didn't work. We've been trying for 1.5 years, so I hope Clomid works. Losing hope that we'll get pregnant.
What other drugs besides Clomid (clomiphene) are used to get a woman pregnant? My wife is on 100 mg of Clomid (clomiphene) and she ovulates normally. If Clomid (clomiphene) doesn't work, will she be given a different fertility drug?
FSH Injections, IVF : If Clomid (clomiphene) alone does not work, adding IUI (intrauterine insemination) can improve Clomid (clomiphene) pregnancy rates. The next step after that would be to take fsh or injectable fertility drugs. Using these drugs in an ivf cycle is safest, but injections can also be combined with iui. Please speak with your doctor about the pros and cons of these options in your situation. Good luck! ...Read more

Probably OK: In general, it is not uncommon to perform a trial of Clomid (clomiphene) before referring to a reproductive endocrinologist. The trials can be from 3-6 months depending on the initial findings and reasons for using clomid (clomiphene). Have your wife talk to her doctor if she has concerns about her specific treatment. ...Read more

100 mg Clomid (clomiphene) + 5 days merional injection. What are the chances of pregnancy? Is there any chance of twins?
Ttc 100 mg Clomid (clomiphene) day 3-7, bleeding day 22, worsening into day 23.. Not spotting, like a light period. Cramping. Normal 27-29 day cycle. What's wrong?
Unsure: Not sure but that is not normal. Clomid (clomiphene) has a side effect of making the lining of the uterus thinner. So i always follow with ultrasound to make sure that is not happening. If it does bleeding can occur earlier from the lining being thin. Clomid (clomiphene) does not work nearly as well in women with regular periods so there may be something else entirely causing the problem like a polyp or fibroid. ...Read more

Ovulatory meds: Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation should ONLY ever be done with close monitoring by a specialist due to the serious risks of these medications, especially in cycles with combined medications. You should talk with your specialist about the risks and benefits of these types of regimens. ...Read more
Either/or: Both regimes seem to work, I have seen different practitioners use one of the above protocols. Certainly, if you have tried one of the above regimes for 3 months or so, may switch to the other regime to see if that perhaps would work (assuming you are on the right dosage). ...Read more
Why?: Why not follow the MD's instructions as prescribed. Obviously, it was prescribed for that date for a reason. If there are still concerns, call the MD who provided the prescription. ...Read more

If Clomid (clomiphene) is not effective, Femara is sometimes prescribed in much the same way as clomid (clomiphene). For some women it is more effective.
Be aware; however, that using Femara for ovulation induction is considered "off label, " meaning it is not approved by the fda for this use. This is not a problem if your doctor is familiar with it and comfortable prescribing it. ...Read more
Orally: Clomid (clomiphene) comes in 50 mg tablets. Dosage is usually one tablet by mouth for five days. Usually it starts on day three through day seven. Ovulation normally occurs approximately seven days after the last pill. Dosage can be increased to 100 mg and even 150 mg per day for the five days. Occasionally, it can be given for a total of seven days. Often at the higher dosages and longer days of usage the ovulation is still suboptimal. ...Read more

On 2nd round of Clomid (clomiphene) 100 mg( 3-7) along with injection merional for 5 days ( cd 8-12). Why this injection for 5 days? What are the chances of success
Depends: It depends on the causes of your infertility. However, I have concern about your Clomid (clomiphene) dose. It is too high, and it will have detrimental effect on your endometrium. I am afraid that you may ovulate well, but embryo may not able to implant due to thin lining. In terms of5 days injection, it is ok , but i don't think it will change the outcome that much. ...Read more
I have had 3 rounds of clomid (clomiphene). First one was 50 mg cd3-7. The other two 100 mg cd 5-9 (dr called it the Clomid (clomiphene) challenge). I' m about to start round 4. Should I continue on cd 5-9 even though its sop to do it cd 3-7?
No, change but...: You could do days 3-7 as the better choice. However, you should think about considering a consultation about other therapies. We usually talk with patients if they failed to achieve pregnancy after 3 Clomid (clomiphene) cycles. You should also get an amh level to see what your ovarian reserve is to assist you in making decisions about your choices of the next options for treatment. Your age is a factor as wel. ...Read more
Clomid (clomiphene): Clomid (clomiphene) is given to men in an attempt to increase their sperm count. Special care needs to be taken to follow their testosterone levels. Unfortunately Clomid (clomiphene) is not consistent when given to the men in that it may increase their sperm count but i've also have seen it lower their sperm count or not change it at all. ...Read more
