ACR test morning sample - 17mg/dl microalbumin urine,
Creatinine is 0.6 in blood.. No bp issue or sugar.
Normal: The albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) urine test is used to detect the presence of abnormal amount of protein (albumin) in the urine which is often an early sign of kidney disease and an important prognostic marker in pts with diabetes and hypertension and a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Your results (ACR 17 mg/dl and serum creatinine 0.6) are indicative or normal kidney function. ...Read more

Is 3822.00 mmol/l normal 24- hour urine creatinine? Is 200.1ug/24h normal cortisol level for 24 hour urine test?
Do these test result indicate a kidney problem? fasting blood glucose : 103, urea: 27, creatinine: 1.5, total cholestrol: 248 triglycerid 308 mg/dL
It depends: The creatinine's a little bit high for a lady. When I was working out a lot, mine ran 1.7; unless you're also doing a lot of strength training, your creatinine's high and that's concerning for kidney disease. I'd address the cholesterol and maybe triglycerides as well. If you've had to have laser resurfacing for your acne, you probably need stronger Rx if you're still getting lesions. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My lab results show high levels of protein in urine 27 mg, urine creatinine 316.3 mg but levels of protein/creatinine ration 90 mg. What does it mean?
Protein in urine: The results mean that you probably have a lot of protein in your urine. To determine how much, you need to see a nephrologist and have a 24 hour urine collection to assess the amount of protein in your urine as well as your renal function. Depending on the amount of protein in your urine, you may need to have additional blood tests to see if you have any type of glomeulonephritis or diabetes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My lab results show high levels of protein in urine 27 mg, urine creatinine 316.3 mg but levels of protein/creatinine ratio 90 mg. What does it mean?
Ur Protein/Cr ratio: The urine protein to urine creatinine ratio is an estimate of the 24hr urine protein. It is less cumbersome and quick. A urine protein to creatinine ratio of 0.15 or less would be consdered normal. For example urine protein of 30 and urine creatinine of 300 would be a upc of 0.1. ...Read more

Prescribed Metformin HCl 500mg in March,: glucose 74 and BUN 18 in May, glucose 62 and BUN 24 in September. Should Metformin HCl 500mg be stopped?
No: Hi. The metformin was presumably prescribed because your sugar was high. Metformin treats type 2 diabetes; it doesn't cure it. Therefore your sugars are good because of the metformin. If you stop it, they'll go back to abnormal. And don't forget, rare BG's don't tell the whole story; you need A1c to assess your risk of problems from diabetes. Don't stop your metformin. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
