After missed period:
Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.

How is it proven when implantation occurs? Different things are said: 3-5 days after ovulation, 6-10 days...?
Very good question: Historically, based on 1) studies of 'endometrial recptivity', 2) non-human primates (rhesus monkeys), and 3) embryo transfer in ivf. It's further complicated by dividing 'implantation' into phases. Currently the first phase is called adplantation and occurs after 6-7 days. The work of bergh and navot, 1992 is the foundation of endometrial receptivity http://humupd. Oxfordjournals. Org/content/13/. ...Read more

Do you get pink CM after ovulation? I'm around 4 days after ovulation, last time of sex a week ago.
Does it can take up to three days after ovulation for the temperature to rise. Or the next day after ovulation?
I measure bbt. I had 3 risen temperatures for 3 days after ovulation (14th day) & then low temp for 5 days until today. Is it normal? What to expect?
Normal: What you described is normal variation during a menstrual cycle and you should expect a normal next cycle unless you engaged in sex at the fertile period, in which case you could be pregnant. If you miss your period, do a home test 4-5 days after missed period, use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the kit, carefully. ...Read more

This may be a dumb question, but when someone says they got a positve preg test 10 days post ovulation, does that mean 10 days after sex?
Mid-cycle spotting: Spotting or bleeding mid-cycle is likely to be around the time of ovulation, when estrogen hormone levels drop. Progesterone hormone 'kicks in' to stop the bleeding. If the spotting continues, or your last period wasn't 'normal', or you get pregnancy symptoms take a pregnancy test to make sure it isn't early pregnancy bleeding. See a fertility specialist (rei) if trying to conceive without success. ...Read more
No, but. . .: It is difficult to know for certain exactly when you ovulate. Ovulation tests or the various symptoms associated with ovulation (stretchy mucus, pain, temperature rise) cannot pinpoint it that precisely. If you are just a little off in your calculation and you are actually within 24 hours of ovulation then you could get pregnant. ...Read more
Not post ovulation?: Since it is normally not that easy to tell exactly when you are ovulating based on symptoms alone, I am thinking you may have misinterpreted a symptom. What you describe is a characteristic pre-ovulation symptom. Be careful as you may be very fertile right now! ...Read more
Depends: If you are on medications to help you get pregnant, then is could mean the meds need to be adjusted. Implantation: Implantation bleeding is not really as common as the internet would have you believe. When it does happen it's usually 6-12 days after ovulation.
