Is it healthy and/or acceptable for children 10-13 to do a 10 day juicing fast, or "reboot"? My family is interested in the micronutrient benefits.
Tween cleanse : I would be very concerned about this age group doing a 10 day cleanse. This is a time it significant growth and for tat lengthy of time i would be worried they would not get nough calories to sustain their growth at that time. I'm interested in starting a 60 day juice fast. I'm healthy, but considerably over weight. Is this a safe diet? Worried about B12 and protein.

Not a good idea: As a diabetic, you need to have mixed meals, including complex carbohydrates, fiber (to total 35 grams daily), lean protein and a bit of fat (not a lot). This, along with any medications you may take, helps to stabilize and regulate blood sugar levels throughout the day and night. Avoid fasting.: The real question is, not which foods to avoid during a fast, but whether fasting itself is a good idea. The colon does not benefit from juice cleanses and fasting. There are no toxins build up inside the colon, despite what you may read on the Internet. It cleanses itself via bowel movements. Juice diet. : it depends what you mean by small meals in between. I would suggest staying the course with the juice diet with small bits of intermittent additions throughout the day.
