Rarely if ever: Before 1992 the DPT vaccine was well known for irritability, high fever & occasional fevers. The mmrv combo shot has been linked to high fever & occasional seizures in 1 yo's. That said, the newer dtap vaccine eliminated the side effects while improving the vaccine & physicians rarely give the mmrv to 1yo any more.
