1 Month Baby Not Sleeping
Has her pediatrician: seen her? Did it start when you took Keflex? Always take deep breaths & relax your body before you pick her up: Tense moms may talk, walk & jiggle a baby who needs less stimulation. At a set bedtime, nurse, then wipe out her mouth with a soft cloth. Rock, read to her in low light. When she's drowsy, put her on her back in her crib in her room to learn to self-calm to sleep. See tips below. ...Read more
Be grateful: Nothing is wrong. Your child is content, well fed, loved and does not feel a need to fuss. Some babies (and people) in life are just laid back and content. Others like to make a fuss. If his personality is to be content and happy, REJOICE! ...Read more
Absolutely!: Not every baby burps every feeding. Burping is typically prompted by swallowing air during the feed. Perhaps you have positioned your baby at the breast such that there is little to no air being swallowed with your milk. Perhaps I should hire you in my pediatric office to instruct other mothers how to properly breast feed! (although, from alaska to texas would be a long commute!). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
The whole 1st yr: Babies tend to triple their birth weight and grow about 10 inches over the first year. They will never have another long term growth rate this large, including puberty. There is some variation in this rate per child, but if you feel your baby is not growing you should discuss it with his/her doc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
May be normal.: If she is sucking vigorously that may happen. If she is breathing normally afterward and in between feeds, she is probably fine. However, if you see any blueness of her lips or the breathing remains fast, I would recommend calling her local doctor. If you are unsure, it would be best to do that anyway. ...Read more
Mgt: Sometimes infants have a nasal sound or grunt occasionally during sleep. As their sleep patterns consolidate and the upper airway grows this tends to resolve. If you notice the sound during sleep, I would recommend bringing it to the attention of your pediatrician. A virtual appt is available and a recording may be uploaded to you record for review. Your baby should sleep on their back. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is it ok if 2 month old baby is on 100 % on nan pro 1 or should we force the baby on breastfeeding?
Depends on Values: There are various health benefits for exclusively breastfeeding your child but there are many parents that decide to use formula instead. Ultimately you have to decide whats right for you and your baby. While breastfeeding is preferred, your baby will do fine on formula feeding if that is what you decide. 2 months old baby falls off bed. Baby seems fine but i'm worried. No bleeding, vomiting, or anything. Baby breastfed and is sleeping. Please advise.?
Should be fine!: Undress and check out all parts of your infant's body for any bumps, bruises or abrasions/deformities. Gently touch all areas to check for tenderness. Likely, you were lucky with this incident and all should be well. Persistent fussy behavior, vomiting, sleeping, or changes in his/her behavior/affect would be halmarks of getting an evaluation sooner than later. ...Read more

My 4 week baby breath so hard when she drinks milk , it all happens while she is drinking during sleep?
Confusing question: Babies depend on their open nasal passages to breathe normally. If baby must stop feeding to do some breathing or seems to work harder to breathe during feedings, she needs her nose cleaned of any mucous or irritant debris. Dust, smoke & fragrances, make it hard for babies & saline nose rinse is your best rx. I don't know of any babies that drink during sleep, but many sound bad if congested. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
10 month old baby congested from common cold. Won't sleep on flat surface n no swing. Is it safe to use carseat for 1 night next to couch?
It does have risks.: The academy of pediatrics recommends a flat surface to prevent sudden infant death syndrome (sids). A more important aspect of helping the child sleep would be nasal saline drops and suction 2 or 3 times per day, but not more frequently than this. Certainly children can sleep in a car seat for prolonged periods without issue, but there is a higher chance of sids which must be considered. ...Read more

But if it is causing pain then you must take your baby to see a pediatric general surgeon to evaluate if the condition is a surgical case and should be repaired.
