Probably not herpes: Herpes doesn't cause firm bumps, and never causes any kind of bump that persists more than a day or two without changing quickly into blister/pimples and then open sores. The only STD that causes firm painless bumps is genital warts. If you continue in doubt about the cause of this, see a doctor soon for proper diagnosis. Good luck! ...Read more

I have one big raised bump in my pubic area and one or two small bumps but not in clusters what are the chances that this is herpes?
Doubt herpes, but...: This is not likely to be herpes, which generally does not cause sores in hairy areas, especially with the intitial HSV infection. And herpes rarely causes a "big raised bump" anywhere. I'm betting on pimples or folliculitis. But if you remain concerned, or if herpes seems possible because you are at risk for STD (e.g. new or unsafe partner), see a doctor or clinic. Better safe than sorry! ...Read more

Noticed one single bump on ghe under side of penis and it was irritatiolng so i popped it and white puss came out. could it be herpes?
Not herpes: Almost certainly not herpes; sounds like a pimple. Herpes lesions are very superficial, not a red bump in the skin, and you can't squeeze out pus, And although recurrent herpes outbreaks can show up as single lesions (if you've had it a long time), the first infection almost always causes multiple superficial painful blisters and sores. So keep hands off, let it heal, and don't worry further. ...Read more

I had unprotected sex three weeks ago. Two weeks ago i had one large, painful, puss filled bump appear in my pubic region. Could this be herpes?
I have a single bump on top of my mons pubis. Not painful. Could one ever get herpes on this area or could it most likely be boil/ingrowni shave alot.
It depends on how it: The bump could be a number of different possibilities. If it is painless, then it is not likely to be a boil or infection. I do not think it is herpes as that usually will cause a blister , red spots, itching or pain in the lesion. Anything deeper requires close watch to see if it is increasing in size over 2-3 weeks. If it is over 1-2 centimeter or growing you need to have it examined by doctor. ...Read more
