Call you OB: Most OB docs and midwives have an answering service. Call your docs office even though it is Sunday and usually the service will pick up or the message will give further instructions. It should kind feel like you're carrying a weight between your legs all the time now and being 1cm is fine. Contractions that come and go are usually consistent with false labor. ...Read more

Probably.: You should talk to your obstetrician; symptoms requiring prompt evaluation at your maternity hospital's er are: decreased fetal movements, fever >100 f (38 c), vaginal bleeding, contractions felt every 5 minutes for at least 30 minutes, or leaking vaginal fluid. WHAT DID YOUR OB SAY: All ?S at 36 weeks and for the rest of your preg should be directed to your OB not here, as your OB knows exactly what is going on with you any sharp pains should be evaluated either by u going to your doc's or to the labor room, that is what i would tell u if u were my pt, esp since u are already 4 cm dilated. ...Read more
