Dr. Robert Kwok answered

In most cases: no: The inability to ejaculate (to reach a climax) can be due to a variety of causes, but in most cases, the problem is not the partner. Causes include general fatigue, too many ejaculations in the past 24 hours, anxiety about the relationship or other things, fears, increasing age, medicine side effects (such as with ssri antidepressants), diabetes and other causes of poor blood circulation, etc...

A 27-year-old member asked:
What is the consistency of normal semen?
1 doctor answer • 6 doctors weighed in

Dr. Kanthi Narra answered
Family Medicine 18 years experience
Varies: It is sticky to watery in consistency, there is a wide variation here.
Semen clots almost immediately after ejaculation, forming a sticky, jelly-like liquid. It will liquefy again in 5 to 40 minutes. It is quite normal for semen to form jelly-like globules and this does not indicate any health or fertility problem.

A 24-year-old male asked:
Is it normal for my cum to always be so thick/lumpy? My friends cum is more watery.
1 doctor answer • 3 doctors weighed in

Dr. Lawrence Yeung answered
Urology 17 years experience
May be infection: Some people have lumpy or think seaman my others have watery semen. It really just depends on how frequently you ejaculate. But sometimes an infection of the prostate can cause lumpy semen. If you have any pain associated with this, then you should see a doctor for prostate exam and urine culture.
