A 28-year-old female asked:

2 days ago before starting meds for bv 3 painful bumps close together appeared on outer labia as my period just started and swollen painful node?

It could be: Folliculitis, a bacterial infection of the skin, like a pimple. If they were blister like, could be something else. The lymph nodes drain inflammation, wouldn't be suprised. Try warm compresses. One must consider genital herpes in the diagnosis. I say this reluctantly, i dont want u to go crazy. I would get examined though to see. Good luck.

Needs evaluation: Lumps, bumps, blisters and other skin abnormalities on the genitals need to be evaluated. An examination will be needed to know the cause and treatment. Painful lesions with swollen lymph nodes sounds like a possible herpes outbreak. Schedule an exam soon.
