How long cervarix hpv vaccine for lasts? i vaccinated in 2013. my first sexual experience was in 2019. do the vaccine still protect me from hpv 16 &18 strains now? do cervarix only protect u from cervical cancer not other cancer?(vulva,vagina etc).

Not known yet: Antibodies are lasting about 10 years so far, and researchers continue to follow patients who got vaccinated longer ago. Maybe the antibodies will last 20 or 30 years. Anyway, the latest vaccine protects against 9 strains of HPV, whereas the Cervarix only protected against the worst 2 strains. A patient may ask her doctor about getting Gardasil-9 vaccine, and see what her doctor says.
